I mean, imagine picking SA over Scotland! We'll get better, what chance do they Dutch-wannabes (and no, not rangers) have of becoming good!?

standards and expectations have dropped to a low of late.

I thought we were a big european club who should be playing european football again next season and learning from our mistakes in order to progress IE buying some decent * footballers why the * are we not buying players of a european standard. :censored:

    (Thats not a question BTW)

agree with dubs here, we should be setting our sights on better than the SPL.
we need players with proven European pedigree or at least the potential of a Stan Petrov. In recent years, any players we've picked up from the SPL havn't been a roaring success, Douglas, Pearson, Fernandez, Sylla & Laursen with the exception of Agathe. Pearson started off well but don't know what's going on there

  14. Pearson, Douglas are ok signings imo, but i think pearson has been kept out by thommo!
laursen imo has been playing ok recently! heard pearson could play anywhere on the left which could be good! but he can only play left mid!

sorry it took me so long to finish this message, but some little sh17e school turned the computer off by the switch, i battered him though! lol!

So does that mean Richard Gough is your hero?

and traitors include....Aidan McGeady, Ray Houghton, Mick McCarthy?

a wee bit of consistency goes a long way....unless of course you were having a laugh....but I didnae see a smilie.

A big Toni! The only striker with a turning circle of a centurian heavy tank!

Still, he scored against the enemy which is qualification for my buddies list! :30: :30: :30:

yea and juninho was an EPL player and on a world cup winning side.....
give riordan a shot...worst case hes a bust like juninho's turnin out to be, but it would be a lot less costly....

I noticed that Brian Kerr and the FAI has decided to set up shop in America in order to find young Irish-Americans youngsters to recruit for the Republic in the future. I have some mixed feelings over this, I obviously support the Republic's squad (and the Tartan squad) and love Celtic but I also like to see American football get better so my own youngsters could aspire to greater football opportunities in the future.

A little off topic, but I would love to see Celtic sign one of the young American players. Landon Donavon is committed to Bayer Leverkusen but there are several others that have made a name for themselves in Europe.
