Its ramping up each time, he's clearly unhappy or at minimum nervous about lack of progress.
A manager on the brink if it doesn't change.

"Do we want to improve? Yes," Rodgers said. "Does the board know that? Yes.

"So domestically, we've got to make up on that and then we have to be better in Europe. As simple as that. We can't beat about the bush. We have to be better.
"But in order to be better, you need quality. And if you're going to improve on that, then we need to find that. It's as absolutely simple as that."

 

Why even come on a forum if it's such a nuisance for you then?

Brendan can talk all he wants about it takes time to find quality. Wether he is being genuine or preparing us for a fall I couldn’t really give a *. I also don’t really care about the posters who will say we/I are being hysterical or regurgitating the same old *.
Here are two simple truths that blow away any defence of our recruitment strategy.

1. There is no way that we couldn’t identify either a starting LB or back up LB and had them signed up and ready to go on Sunday. Why do I say this? Because Brendan, the manager who coaches the players, saw fit to send our second choice LB out on loan for the latter part of last season. And our starting LB gets exposed more often than I would like to see.

2. We have one CF at the club. ONE!!!!!

 

Neither he nor you are making a * or ripping the pish out of anyone.

You’re just enjoying being taken for a ride by the club yet again.

You’ve previously back tracked on here when the board under delivered on signings, yet here you are back at square on talking utter nonsense daily.

And the fact you genuinely believe you’re successfully making a * of other people is * hilarious. Everybody on here thinks you’re an absolute *.

 

Do you and multiple other folk constantly go on about the club taking too long getting signings in the door? Yes.

Do you constantly go on about the board not giving a fuxk about the team on the park? Yes.

Well he absolutely has made a * of you. Publicly rubbished so much conspiracy * in one interview, yet you'll pretend it didn't happen and carry on regardless.

If the famous officer doofy thinks I'm a * that is absolutely fine by me, that means I'm on the right track

I don't think most of the people you are arguing with ever thought it was easy, though. Deals are indeed always complex (Rodgers' moving parts) and often complicated for everyone and it's just a fact that we consistently seem to take longer than most other clubs to get deals done. Like Rodgers, I think that's acceptable as long as we get quality in by the time the window closes. In recent windows, that hasn't been the case.

I think the few parts of what Rodgers' said that you have chosen to highlight only count as a diss to the minority of the board's critics who think they could do that job better. Most of us don't think that it's not good enough not because we think we could do better, but rather because we compare the results with those of other highly-paid professionals in football and demand that they do their job to the same level.

 

It is interesting how words can be interpreted different ways according to you own bias.

1. One set saying Brendan happy, making excuses for board, placating fans etc
2. On the other hand, he is giving the board another public rocket, to say it's not good enough, get it sorted, this is not what we agreed etc

I've tried to read the words several times, in different ways - it's pretty clear it's the second message.

 

100%, frustrating as * atm...I'm still on the positive side of the fence in that we have a month left to do business but I thought we'd at least have a LB and ST in by now.

Do wonder whether the board think they've got Rodgers trapped given the way he left last time and nobody seemed to turn on them.

In retrospect it was remarkable nobody turned on them.

Aye LB is where my issue lies, it's something we should have tied down weeks ago, hopefully I'd it's Beck were after we tie him down quickly.

Still not panicking yet, but if we ago another 2 weeks with silence it'll be hard not to.

 

Nobody makes you read this, respond, or get annoyed at a difference of opinion.

Only you can affect that outcome. There is so much you can do yourself not be surrounded by idiots.

I’d love to see how far he could take this club if backed properly.

We’re so lucky to have him.

Given the way he was * over the first time, I’m still absolutely gutted at the fraud and rat patter that some throbbers came out with.

It’s so obvious he has an affinity with the club.

No manager near his level would be anywhere near us working under the parameters he does.

He * better get what he wants in the next few weeks.
