Breaking bad.

I'm not 100% sure if there's a discussion thread for this show? I looked over 4 pages then did a search of the forum but for some reason searching takes me to my subscription.

Anyway, i seen folk where talking about this show on the Walking dead thread and it was all positive so i decided to download the first 4 seasons and over the course of two weeks have watched every last one.. I must say, i so nearly missed out on this (mainly because i was UN-intrested in the shows name -didn't appeal) but having seen it all it is easily the best show I've ever watched.

The character development is incredible, Credit to the guy who plays walt because his rise from anti hero to all out * has been amazing to watch.
However i find that actor particularly 'wooden' at times... Still though it wouldn't work with anyone else.

For me though Pinkman steals the show, in the first few eps i felt for sure he would be killed off but he just kept growing and growing. Plays his role well and if he died in season 5 I'd be well gutted lol

Anyway, what a show. Does anyone know when season 5 starts? I hear there's enough episode ordered for 2 more seasons.. Don't know how truthful that is but the fact it's coming to a climax is a little sad to me.

 

The second best show I've ever watched after the Sopranos, it's just one of them shows you can't get enough of. I did the same and watched the first four seasons in a few weeks. Absolutely love it!!
Bryan Cranston who plays Walt I thought was amazing throughout and I get what you mean by it wouldn't work with anyone else. Anyone who hasn't seen this tv show really needs to watch it.
Pinkman was meant to be killed off after Season One, but his performances were that good they decided to keep his character alive.

As of yet there have been no dates announced when season five will be out. Mid way through this year I think. Season Five has already been announced as the last season. So it will be the end of that. I can't wait :icon_mrgreen:

Aye Saul is a riot, very cleaver man by all accounts lol I liked how his assistant tried to rob walt of 20k haha

Yeah i heard season 5 was the last and that by the end of it we (the viewers) will really dislike walt.. I also heard that the final season would be in 3 parts and thus taking the seasons tally to 7 but that's probs just speculation.

I'm pretty gutted it's ending though, theres not many shows of similar caliber out there other than Dexter and Walking dead. Pinkman is brilliant i hope he survives the end game.. I have a sneaking suspicion he will end Walts life which i feel would be the best outcome. Walk loves Pinkman deep down but he's always belittling him.

 

Has been highly recommended to me by a friend, off whom I have downloaded the first 3 seasons just this week. So far have only watched about 3-4 episodes of the first season & it's a slow burner so far, but have been assured that the pace picks up as it goes on. That said, it is an interesting premise.

 

Yeah Taz the first season was slow but stick with it, some of the themes to come are very brave and well filmed.

 

PS.. Can a mod put a spoiler alert in the thread title... just incase.

 

this and the wire are my all joint top all time greatest shows.definently stick with it the pace soon cranks up a few notches & doesnt let go.

Amazing show. As others have said Pinkman is a great character. The supporting cast it pretty good too with the DEA agent bro in law and Saul Goodman.

I'm in the same boat. Only a few episodes into the show, but it's a charmer, certainly. Will be watching more in the near future. Some great casting, as well.

 

ive got the first two seasons on dvd, have been meaning to start watching them.
Going by this thread im guessing starting it sometime soon would be a good idea!

It's possible it could be on Sky somewhere but I've no idea, don't recall ever seeing it in the listings.

Could check out the sky website then search on that for re-runs ect
