We should loan both out to Hibs, St Mirren or/and Aberdeen.

That's the first preseason match I've been able to watch live and the first time I'd seen him since reading all the positive reviews, but wasn't particularly impressed, and definitely looks like he at least needs more time loaned out. Didn't have a lot of time on the park but gave it away most of the time.

I reckon a loan would be the best move but think the lad might want a permanent one. He’s deffo not at the standsrd we need yet. Kwon and holm look much sharper

To be honest I watched him against Northampton and even though he was okay I didn't think he stood out to be of any quality for us. Pre season sort of backed up that judgement. He's big and powerful but far to slow on the ball and doesn't seem clever enough to do the defensive side of his game.
If that is reliable then that's an incredible fee really

If true, that's good money for Lawall. Anytime I have seen him he has looked a unit, but his in game intelligence and clumsiness on the ball stood out for me.

Great bit of business if we get that for him.

Would be a shame if we let him go. But if Rodgers doesn't fancy him get him off the books, a big sell on fee in the deal would be great

He has a good loan spell away last season.

Rodgers must not rate him, as long as we get a sell
On fee added then I’m not too fussed.

More Money to sit in the bank! Yasssss

    Great money if so.

I'd like to see more of him, would be more interested in seeing him extend his deal here and go out to motherwell or somewhere for experience and see where he is at later.

But can't argue with that fee for what he offers us right now.

    Yeah good money for him.

Hopefully we put it towards another player instead of on top of a pile to rot.

I had high hopes after seeing some of his performances for Fleetwood but he didn’t look up to it in most of his preseason games except against Ayr.

I assume if we are selling the player is keen to go and Manager must not rate him that highly.

However, this does show the benefit of getting guys like Lawal out on loan down in England as they can turn themselves from a £200k player into worth £2-3m. See even if we got that sort of figure for M Johnston I would let him go he is well down the pecking order here.

Welsh, is another who has had interest there, I wonder if Kwon and Yang could be loaned out to bottom half of championship level clubs as I wouldn’t be surprised if they done well enough to earn a permanent move.

Had a really poor pre-season, so not surprised he's off.

Good money for him. Let's see how we reinvest it...

It doesn't even have to be championship clubs. League 1 is a big recruitment ground for the championship.

Aye if they aren't gonna make it, it at least gets them in a shop window.

Spot on with the others mentioned. If they aren't seen as ready or likely to have a future loan then south for exposure.

At worst, we get money for them, at best they turn it on and we have a player that goes up a level.

Did he cost us anything, development fee? Surprised we'd get even that much for him, honestly thought he'd be someone we let go for next to nothing just to clear out a space in the squad. Guess that's how inflated things are getting down south, a half decent loan to league one bumps your price up that much.

Bosun Lawal is scheduled to undergo his medical this afternoon to become Stoke City's new £2million signing, Football Scotland can reveal.

The Celtic youngster had a strong pre-season with the Hoops but when an offer arrived from the Potters it was accepted by the club. The Irishman, 21, will become a new Stoke City signing over the coming weekend with the move believed to be imminent. Football Scotland understands it will be a three-year deal the former Watford starlet signs at the Bet365 Stadium.

Lawal enjoyed a loan stint with Fleetwood Town last season and played in the midfield and had hoped he might be given the chance at Parkhead to break into the first-team more often this term. But the fee tabled by Steven Schumacher's side was too good to turn down.

Football Scotland understands the fee could increase and get closer to the £3million mark with add-ons and extras should certain criteria be met by the player and club as part of his deal.

He's definitely going to have a good career but I don't think he's quite got the levels we need.
