    People who have watched him regularly i.e. Norwegians, have said he's not as good as the Celtic support as a whole believes he is.

    Honestly didn't think he looked that great against us, was decent going forward but not great defensively. Forrest had him done countless times.

    I’m not writing him off though.

    I’d say I’ve watched him just as much as any other Celtic fan.

    It says a lot that the people who watch him regularly and cover Norwegian football seem perplexed why some Celtic fans have an obsession with Meling.

    Meling is just the latest player who has a good game or scores against us in Europe and all of a sudden our some fans act like they’re must buys.

    Ogo, Ibraimi, Twumasi etc.

    @Valhalla What's wrong with wanting/rating a player who's had a good game against us though? I always thought Christie stood out for ICT against us, same with Hayes for Aberdeen. Not saying that's why we should sign them but it means they can at least compete at our level, especially if it's European teams we play.

    I've had a look through a couple of Rosenborg forums to see how they feel about potentially losing him and they all seem to love him? I wasn't getting the impression at all from their fans that he isn't that good?
