Just wondering what you would come come up with as this 5 foreign player rule will be coming back into play soon.

This is of only players which i can remember English being foreign in this case.

your team contains 6 foreigners...sorry but your disqualified.

 

I read somewhere that McGeady would also count towards a scottish quto as he was born he disrepective of his choice to play for Eire.

 

mate thats 6 Mcgeadys Irish btw

 

mcgeady was born in scotland and has scottish parents so he is scottish and a british citizen. he only chose to play for the republic through the grandparent rule. so he would count as a scot in this ruling.

btw id say youd get away with mcgeady being scottish if the rule was to come in though!

 

The rule is defined by the players' national Football Association eg. Aiden McGeady would be FAI, Jan would be KNVB

However McGeady, O'Dea, Sheridan etc would all qualify under the new proposals; A player from any association can qualify as long as he has played for the club in question's academy / youth team for 3 years between the ages of 15 and 21.

Which really is quite incredible compared to the likes of EPL teams, and even Celtic teams of the past 10-15 years!
