School means fuckall imo. Boy I work wae left school without a qualification, now if you see his wallet he’s got every ticket under the sun. It’s what you do after school that counts.

At risk of sounding like a conspiracy theory nut case, school is basically just training you from an early age to abide to the way society wants you to be. I hardly * went and I’m doing grand.

In my opinion, school is nothing but a early way to get * to conform.

Most * who were wee * in my school, basically no hopers in the systems eyes, are all living decent life’s with decent jobs etc now. A few of my crew, for want of a better word, have been in and out of jail but now sorted themselves out, I had a short stint in Polmont in my youth as well, we’ve settled down had weans etc. Obviously I’ve got another couple who are doing long stretches but that’s more down to being sadistic sociopaths :giggle1:

I will say now though schooling is totally different even since I left 11 years ago. Pupils are treated with respect and that goes along way to developing good life skills. Rather than having a teacher spewing hyperbole in your face for 15 minutes for throwing a paper plane :giggle1:

I left at 15 and got an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic, im now back at college after being in the trade 14 years, doing mechanical engineering, if id just have stuck out school i could have walked into an engineering apprenticeship and would be on about 40k a year by now.

They almost never accepted me into college as i didnt have higher maths/physics, even though i had 14 years experience in a mechanical background.

Thats where the sticking in at school comes in handy, it opens a lot more doors in regards to things like im doing.

I’m the same mate, could have done better but that’s down to your own application, I was told I’d never amount to fuckall by more than one teacher, and for a while I believed it, out causing trouble, selling gear, tying to act the gangster but I screwed the heed and probably earn more than half of the * now:101: Still get myself in to bother here and there but * happens :giggle1:
I’m a scaffolder, pretty * job, but going to college evening classes from August to do a HNC in Construction Management, basically to become a Site Agent or something in that sector of construction, yer talking 35/40k for most jobs like that. But I plan on going to do the degree after it as well to hopefully make something of myself and set my family up.

If any teacher who doubted me seen me now, they’d probably be pretty * embarrassed to be honest, get it * round them:58:

Aye true mate, it’s once you realise what being an * means, ye * it a wee bit and try to think of ways to better yourself. I could easily still be doing dodgy stuff, making easy money, but losing my liberty and not being able to spend time with my son scared me a wee bit to be honest. Need to be legit in life, first and foremost. Nothing wrong with having something on the side to prop it up though :giggle1:

Look a man dead in the eye when you ask him something. You’ll never fail to hear his lies or see his honesty. It’s the window to their soul. I have nothing if I don’t keep my word. Always.
