Actually did some thing better than Hart (came for crosses, distribution), he's possibly more suited to Angeball... :fear:

Well impressed with his footwork and distribution, we are in a good place keeper wise.

Great to be have confidence in your number 2. Remember Hart going down last season and bricking it that he had an injury, with Bain being the backup.

I think Ange has a big call to make soon.
Persevere with an out of form Hart, or give Benji his chance.

Tbh i don’t think Ange would drop him and i’m not sure if Seigrist is any better. For that we’d have to see him get a few games.

Out of form? 1 defeat in how many league matches?

Think Hart is a big leader and personality in the side. Something that we lack.

He may be a leader and a big personality, but he is just not cutting it anymore.
He's been dodgy for a while now. Ducking balls coming straight at him.
Passing the ball straight to Arfield. Staying on his line and refusing to come for high balls, the own goal fiasco with Juranovic, and that ridiculous dive yesterday. His behaviour recently has been erratic and bizarre.
We can't afford a liability between the sticks.

Mate Harts been absolutely class since coming in, great with the ball at his feet for a keeper and a total leader on the pitch, lucky to have him, he's probably got another year or 2 left, play the other lads in the cups.

Hart has been a great signing but there's absolutely no doubt that we should actively be looking for his replacement for next season, ideally. Someone who is more mobile and more comfortable on the ball.

Don't think Siegrist is that guy, but he's a decent back up.

Thought it was class the way he waited for all the team after the loss on Tuesday and shook their hands before going up the dug out. Seems a great guy to have in and about the team, hopefully he gets a shot in goals against Motherwell.

And has already proven to be a reliable deputy with his fine performance against Ross County in the League Cup. Really hope we give him another shot on Wednesday. He deserves it. Nothing negative to gain from giving Hart a rest ahead of a huge match at Tynecastle.

Happy for Siegrist to get game time in the League Cup and SC for that matter but Hart should still be in goal for League and Europe.

Great save down to his left in the second half but his distribution was woeful at times. Even more nervy playing out from the back than with Hart in there. Long way to go before he's our number 1.

Nervy distribution but think that will get better with time. Fully confident in the guy to pull off big saves though.

Worse on the ball than Hart, * * :giggle1:

To be fair to Siegrist, Hart has the benefit of playing in our system for over a year, so it's only natural he'll have a better understanding of our patterns of play and where the passes are. Also, when O'Riley and Mooy were replaced by Abildgaard and McCarthy, the options he had were more limited because neither of those guys seem great at showing for the ball, especially McCarthy.
