Anyone got this? Add me on Xbox Live - ScouseHoops :D (Its also available on PS4)

This is the first racer I bought when I purchased an Xbox1 console recently, and I've been pretty impressed. I looked into what games serious racers in the communities/youtube channels liked, and this usually won hands down as a simulation although some prefer Project Cars (See Below).

I could tell it was realistic purely by how clear the community was on how HARD the game is, and they weren't joking. Its a serious test, where as Forza Motorsport 6 is geared towards being somewhat realistic but also more fun and pick up and play. The deal breaker for me was ONLY ONE person I found on Youtube seemed any good at it.

It takes time to understand and tweak your settings and you need different presets you've designed for different tracks, but all round the cars/tracks/physics and game options are excellent, although its career mode could be better. The way you set the game is important (see videos). I know @Bunk Moreland was suspicious like a lot of other PC gamers how this game would crossover onto console, but I think they did a good job.

Good on PC too :D (Where it originally came from)

Also against common perception there is some form of dynamic weather, full tyre wear and pit stops.

Still haven't picked it up yet. The lack of a decent career mode just puts me right off plus the lack of dynamic weather and day/night cycles. With racing games I'm pretty much covered at the moment with Project Cars, Dirt Rally and Ride which I've recently just got into.

Nothing, but he's our own resident Jos Verstappen who plays everything on ultra mean hard mode so he has to mention something. He didn't think Dirt Rally was really good either and compared it to Gran Turismo which was so much more realistic.

I think Project Cars pretty much raised the game with their career mode and as I'm a mostly offline gamer when it comes to racing games and that's what appeals to me. From what I've heard Assetto Corsa's career mode is a series "catch the pigeon" races where it's more a case of winning because your time is good rather than actual racing, similar to the Gran Turismo format where AI opponents don't really race each other but act as traffic and time markers.

I've heard Assetto Corsa has amazing physics, I've watched a fair bit of it on YouTube and it looks spot on but it seems to fall down at the point where it's supposed to be a video game as well as a driving sim.

Actually I said Dirt Rally was good, I said the car physics, specifically the lack of car weight in the game wasn't good which GT does really well :87:

Jos Verstappen? at my age mate I'm more of a Rubens Barrichello :52:

How is this game? And while I'm asking whats the best current racing game for ps4?
Been looking at this one for awhile.

Usually stick to gran turismo, but with the way the new one is looking, not that keen. A lot less cars is a massive turn off for me - a big part of the fun in gt was collecting the cars, starting with an old used car and working your way to a super car.
Would love something a bit more like that.
