There are a few writers within the TC ranks I'm sure. Just wanted to put this thread out there to share any work with the TC community. Do you write? Have you written a book? What is it about? Has it had any sales success? What about blogging?

Personally, I've self-published a few books on kindle (not Celtic-related but I do manage to name drop a few players in one of them somewhere) and occasionally write the odd blog post - random ramblings - but a few of which have been about Celtic.

Writing for me is an occasional hobby but nothing more.

So this is just a random post to see if there are any writers among the ranks and to potentially showcase what you have written.

I started writing a novel when i was around 14.

Was about a boy around my age (at the time) who wanders into the woods and uncovers a spacecraft, all sorts of weird hieroglyphics over the hull.

Somehow manages to get inside, where theres all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures in cages and the like. Ship starts moving and eventually flies off into space.

Couple of hours later he is droped back off in the woods and makes his way home to tell his parents, only to find its been like 20years and he hasn’t aged but everyone else has....

....gave my dad a read of my first draught where he tells me that...i have just plagiarised the movie “flight of the navigator”.

I had obviously seen it as a wee boy and was subconsciously recreating it on paper :56:

    Dreams shattered.

Heller Keller did exactly the same thing (though not about Flight of the Navigator I don't think;) - cryptomnesia is what they call it apparently.

Actually have a secret ambition to write a travel book of Scotland at one point. Really want to explore the country.

Have already been to a good few places but so much more to see.

Posted a short story on here a couple of year ago.
Started part of 6 different novels and have a few ideas for more novels.
They all range from thriller, sci fantasy and horror.

I’ve been wanting to write a novel for a while now. My English teacher told my parents that I should pursue writing as a career, and it’s something that has been in the back of my mind ever since.

I lived in Paris for a while there and I spent a lot of time reading the works of the Lost Generation (Fitzgerald, Hemingway, et al.) and hanging out in their old haunts trying to capture a bit of that magic.

It has been gnawing at me for the last couple of weeks, so I’m going to get something down on paper soon.

I like writing short stories, the odd essay and poetry but only really as a hobby. Been tempted to try write something longer form, maybe a novel, but I doubt I'd have the patience. Should probably just go for it anyway.

The glass in my mind it as a good one..and @packybhoy made me write it. i can not give too mutch cred to him.

e crystal glas, toasting in hand
while our lives, is whirling down like sand
    the laughter cheer, demonic smiles
will we ever, fight proud for our land

Damage done, the weight is all
    realizing the violent call

The well purling, laughter of dance
Standing outside, hate is our own right
the glass of wine, death is near
The wrath clear, we have our flame alight

Shatter of glas, blood on hands
we rise above, our harts have the brands
    the spirits cries, proud eyes
we will stand, follow our commands

Damage done, the weight is all
    realizing the violent call

    The flames licks the light
    a camera makes the sight
    the skulls beneath the line
    gives shivers thru my spine

Not sure what you mean? If you mean can you post * literature on here then i'd have to say no. That sort of thing might be allowed in a private section of the forum.
