Just hope we get this serbian forward & he has the same qualities if not
Better than big Jan think we are lacking a target man.

Never heard of him before but from the videos I have saw he looks good and is the type of striker we need. However YouTube can make most players look good

Loved big Jan. Think he's up for the Paul McStay game in a couple of weeks. Yes we need an out an out centre forward.

Definitely. The height of Mulgrew, Lustig and Virgil caused Maribor problems at corners and a target man would be able to capitalise on the quality that the likes of Johansen, Commons or Stokes can deliver.

The Big Jan that we first signed is exactly what we need. The Big Jan just before his time was up with us and he had lost a yard of pace, not so much.

    * yeah we've only been missing a centre forward since jvh and he wasnt a patch on hartson

think how many assists emilio izzaguire would have had if we had had a true centre forward the past 4 years :56:

A target man will be useful for situations like against Inverness; when a team is sitting deep and we are failing miserably to break them down. It's always useful to have some big * up front who can win a header when we're forced to play a long ball into the box.

Definitely we are trying to play without a real target man . It might be possible until we come up to the SPL speciality of blanket defences . We could keep Barcelona quiet no problem when we got our defence right . Maybe this boy we hope to sign at 6ft 1 inch will have the heading ability strength and mobility to be our target man .

if ronny wants to play his 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 then a focal point upfront is required definetly.

To be fair Jvh was finished a year before he left us and before that I was not a fan
I would take another John Hartson any day over him

Was just thinking about him the other day, not a fantastic player but a useful one.

I loved Vennegoor of Hesselink. I had his name on the back of my shirt. The white away top with the yellow and green vertical stripe going through the Celtic badge. Favourite top I've ever had (alongside the 02/03 black and gold away kit with Larsson on the back).

We've needed a big targetman for years now. Once he left, we seemed to stop playing any tactic to get the ball wide and put it into the six-yard box.

I always wanted Zigic at the club due to him being over 8 foot tall. But then he went to Birmingham and was absolutely toss.

If we could have any targetman back and in their prime... John Hartson.
