You put me off Ralston before last year with comments like that and I am sure many more who read them, and I've not even seen Ralston play.

Why do you do that ? He is only young.

Why do you get out off players you've never seen play? You're only old

Pretty much my thoughts as well.

Seen him a good few times for the development squad and he's quite wooden on the ball.

Aye I'm really no wanting to slate the boy as he still has time but it's the basics on the ball that make me doubt him..

He was honking for the development squad last season. Was horrendous last pre season as well. Got tore apart a good few times.

Tierney didn't look like a world beater his first few games either. Hopefully he gets a few more starts and grows into it.

I dont rate Tierney as a ball player, but he makes up for it in so many other ways. Ive not seen a massive amount of Ralston could he be similar?

Only similarity I see is they both tackle quite robustly..

Pish passing, can't cross. When he bombs forward he get's caught wide open down our right..

Doesn't look to promising for me..

CELTIC kid Anthony Ralston’s loving being part of the Invincibles but insists there’s no chance of him becoming big-headed.

The only way he feels he’ll change is by becoming a better player.

The 18-year-old – who made his competitive debut against St Johnstone in May, 2016, the Hoops’ last domestic defeat – hopes that continuing the hard work from last season will help him improve as a player.

Ralston had a second-half role in Celtic’s 1-1 draw against Rapid Vienna on Saturday.

The full-back said: “It’s been a great experience for me to come in and be involved.

“I will never get ahead of myself or have a big ego or be big-headed.

“I will always remain grounded and keep trying to learn and better myself.

“I am learning all the time, playing with experienced players and working with great coaching staff.

“I’m working as hard as I can to prove I can get a shot.”

Celtic’s next pre-season fixture is against Slavia Prague tomorrow.

I think he'll have a good career, whether or not that's with Celtic will be down to him.

He's a big boy, rock solid in the tackle and determined. He does lack composure on the ball but that can come with time.

Haven't seen enough of him yet to make a proper judgement but from what I have seen I can understand why people are questioning his ability on the ball.

Whether it is something he can work on, only time will tell. However it is crucial he improves in that area if he is to stand any chance. Having the heart and commitment in the tackle is brilliant but will only get him so far.

One thing I will say is that Rodgers seems to see something in him.
