Anthony Ralston

I love it when a club youth player makes it. And Tony made it from being expected to fade away into an SPFL team. Tony Ralstones rules!

 

He obviously has an understanding with Kyogo looking at how early Kyogo goes when he sees the ball going to Ralston he's anticipating what's next.

 

That ball was ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous..

 

Like a new £4mil signing. Just incredible the turnaround, all credit to Tony and Ange.

 

The run was perfect and the pass sublime. Tremendous vision from Anthony Ralston. Take a bow my son, you’ve had a wonderful, wonderful season.

 

Think people were slightly underrating Ralston recently.

I honestly don't think there's a world of difference between him and Juranovic. Juranovic is quicker and a better defender, but Ralston is stronger and better in attack.

If I had to pick, I would go with Juranovic, but Ralston is an excellent player himself, who still has another level to go up.

 

Unfortunately I think Ralston is just always going to have his doubters, once the doubt sets in with some folk its impossible to shift., Juranovic is the better overall player no doubt but * me we wont find a better not even back up, a rotation player than Tony.

We dont win the league without him.

 

I think until recently I was one of those people. Tony brings so much though, so consistently productive in the final third. Only thing he lacks is that one on one defending. Fantastic player to have though and great to have proper competition for that RB spot.

 

I think he's proven that he's a good player and he's been a huge part of why we've been successful this season. In my mind, he's become a fully established player at the club less than a year after many of us were bemoaning him being given a contract extension because he had been written off; and he's made me and many others each the biggest slice of delicious humble pie in the process. Couldn't be any happier for him.

 

His passing ability is severely underrated at times..

If Juranovic plays that pass to Kyogo, we would be saying that's the difference between them..

An incredible season, absolutely incredible..

 

Still think he may have scored the most important goal of the season at county. The win really catapulted us to where we are now.

 

He's been excellent. Love his attitude, absolutely exemplary. In all seriousness, he could have faded.

Not one to say I told you so at all, I hope that's evident with my posts, but have always thought he was a good player.

 

A great big, green and white heart! That's what he's got!

Juranovic pips him, in my opinion only slightly, on talent but Ralston is a great player to rotate or step in, with almost no imbalance caused. And *, does he love helping us win with his attacks... Still think Ange can help him improve another 10%...

Did he renew his contract yet? Was only on a 1year deal, wasn't he?

 

A lot of players would have absolutely shattered under the criticism he was getting preseason, never mind fading... Absolute balls of steel to stand up the way he did and put a genuine stamp of his ability on the season

 

Exactly mate, the mental strength of the lad, perfect attitude. Could teach a lot to older ones.

 

He signed a new contract until Summer 2025 some time before Christmas.

Quite a few people thought that was too long a contract even though he's still likely to one of our lower earners. Hopefully most have changed their mind now.

Who would’ve thought we’d be saying we wouldn’t have won the league without the help of Tony Ralston.

Getting called a bricky, told he was more suited to a building site than a football pitch, and now the * pinging baws from deep like Pirlo. Deserves every bit of joy yesterday brought.
