Agree with everything you said there. He fully deserves the contract extension. At worst if we solve our left back situation he makes a very capable back up at right back. Always good to see an academy product come through and make it into the first team and do well. Long may it continue for him.

 

Indeed, but he is a home grown player and we need them for Europe.

That will also play a big factor in the deal as well.

 

Also, having saw some more details on it the deal wasn't 5 years. It's a 3 year extension until end of the 2024/25 season so it's got 3 1/2 years left to run.

I think some people have forgotten this is the 2021/22 season and are just looking at the 5 in 2025 and going for whatever reason.

 

Juranovic and Ralston are both tied to us until at least 2025. As far as the club is considered, that position is now sorted. Ralston being a home-grown talent is also important for EUFA squads etc.

A left back has to be the number 1 priority in January.

 

One of the best this season so far - Kyogo gets the headlines and justifiably so, but the change in him is crazy....every team needs a little bit of steel - Ralston is one of the few that would step into a square go without a question - love it

 

A proper hardman too, unlike the majority of those wannabe hardman twats.

Thought he was good tonight but at the second ferencvaros I was screaming at the Tele to close his man down

 

He was a tad sloppy tonight and stood off the guy for their 2nd goal a bit too much. But he's a warrior and an animal of a man.

 

Turnbull doing that for the 3rd goal as well was * brilliant.

 

Good solid performance. Unlucky with that header not to get another goal. Definitely showing he can do it at this level and above.

 

The 2nd goal he should never be left two on one at that stage of the game, Forrest needs to be back there, a fully fit Forrest would be. Stuck in two minds trying to cover the shot and the ball in behind.
