Was one of his biggest critics tbh. Have to admit though, he’s played really well last couple of games. Put in a great shift today aswell. Lb and rb would still be priority for me atm

Love seeing him and Welsh getting in about it, putting in hard tackles and not getting bullied.
We've been missing that for years.

This is it. He has played really well but he shouldn't be our first choice right back. I'm happy enough with him playing second fiddle and coming in as a rotational player but if we are to progress as a team, we need a better right back in pronto.

I count myself as being one of his biggest critics but, hats off to the guy, was great today. I'm happy for him as he gives it his all every game.

He's been promoted from one of the worst I've ever seen go 'OK stop gap'.

Still not the long term answer.

I'm still in a state of disbelieve seeing him playing at this level.... must admit - never seen that coming.
Long may it continue as the boy clearly has a character & charisma required to fkn boss the right flank

He's given his all and worked hard in the face of a lot of heavy criticism. Lesser characters would have retreated into their shell but he's played through it and come out the other side. Fair play to him. :50:

Another game where he's went up a level.

At what point do we start saying he's actually a very good right back, and deserves to be there with no provisos?

Obviously he's the only player we have in that position which means we need another one at least, but as far as being good enough to play on a regular basis....are we ever goanny accept this boy as a good player?

He’s definitely improved ten fold but needs to keep it up and I wouldn’t be comfortable with him being our only option, need more competition in the defence.

He played well and has been playing well but for me his bar is that low folk are calling that today ‘absolutely brilliant’. He was solid, he definitely wasn’t absolutely brilliant.

Right back remains priority but fair * to the guy he’s playing at a level now I personally would have laughed at you at for suggesting literally a month ago.

Absolutely outstanding pass from him to Kyogo today.

People will absolutely need to stop desperately clinging to the basic narrative soon :56:
