Rangers got 89 points as well, would have won them the league in 5 of the past 11 seasons

To think this time a year ago when the Howe deal broke down and then Ange was linked. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would turn out like this :52:

Was thinking earlier while watching the post-match celebrations that it felt so different to anything in the last 10+ years. It reminded me of how I used to feel after winning the league in the MON years, when I was 12ish.

I think there a few reasons for that, it being such a challenge, last season, so much on the line etc. but the biggest influence of all is this man. He probably has no clue how big an impact he's had on us as a support. What a difference it makes to have someone in charge who we feel proud to have representing the club, who we see as a symbol of what we stand for. I * love the Celtic and all of you x

All the arguments aside, it’s great to see that the Celtic fans on this forum now see in Ange, what we came to try explain to you in the early days. He really is something special. HH

Could see how much it meant to him when he spoke after the game yesterday.

The incredible thing is, our next season could be even better than this.

i remember how excited i was when rodgers became our manager and that invinsible first season was magical.
i couldn't wait til the next season started because we were only going to get better and yes we went on to win every domestic trophy going for the next four seasons but we didn't really go up a level.
With Ange here i can't wait for next season to start again and i hope our board give him everything he asks for because
this man is special and i hope he is here for many, many years to come.

I was sceptical of Ange as well. I knew of him from the World Cup 2014. He had a tough group, but realizing he was adamant about his tactical style even then and refused to budge made me very uneasy about his appointment. With the players he had at his disposal last August, he had to be more pragmatic. I was already writing the season off, and wishing all known cancers upon the board.
Kyogo came, and then others, but the defense was still a shambles. Ultimately, in that Pittodrie game, Ange showed he had the team properly set up. The defense held, and our attack prevailed. And we persevered, not dropping out of the title race.

That’s the hope and aim isn’t it to keep getting better. Ange has set a high bar but with the right additions to the current team and there’s no reason we can’t continue our upward trajectory.

The CL, a lot will depend on the draw to what could be possible a decent draw we have to be competing for 3rd but draws haven’t been kind to us recently and we could end up in tough old group when you see the teams who are in there already.

Domestically retaining the title will be the main goal and as always looking to win the cups but the title given it is the main one and again comes with Auto CL groups has to be the overall priority.

The break we get now that we go straight into CL groups is so vital.

I don't expect much from CL but even just that little extra break for our guys could be a season changer for the next season.

For so many years now they've been back playing qualifications earlier and earlier, well its at least felt like... Now they can all take just a little bit longer to go have a holiday and a bit of time off from having to be completely rigid with their routine.

Ange is a better miracle worker than Jesus Christ.
