Hero. I lost a lot this past year and this man produced a team that gave me so much joy. Sorry for doubting you Ange. You're a * hero.

10th june and onwards on this thread make some reading. We doubted(understandably so), yet here we are, less than a year later with a double and CL football to look forward to. Well done Ange. But as you say, we never stop. HH

Fantastic and what an achievement from the big man.

His style of play is brilliant, honest, direct, sharp, encouraging and just what we need and want at this club.

As always, tweaking still needed in football, but we can all see with clarity what it is we are building here.

Today, he's just cemented himself on a par with Win Jansen in the cult icon bracket.

Stick it out for a couple more seasons, make a mark in Europe and perhaps get himself a treble and he will go down in the same breath as your O'Neil's of the world.

    World's yours Ange.

    Thank you, so far.

Yep, it's tiresome, and that's coming from an Australian.

Words fail to explain his achievements this year.

One of the most significant title wins in our history.

Shifting players isn't just about having big balls, it could be challenging for instance to move a 30-something year old McCarthy guaranteed 15K a week for the next 3 years. Unless you're willing to pay him off (possibly in full) he first has to agree to move and somebody then has to be willing to take him on for somewhat similar money. Barkas and possibly Ajeti would have been gone already if anybody was willing to take them.

Was it this time last year we were still in talks with Howe?

I can honestly barely believe the turnaround.

I know it's only one title but given the enormous context, it's one of the greatest achievements of any Celtic manager.

Incredible achievement for all involved. But for Ange, who else walks into a job like this, a rebuild of massive proportions, all by himself no less, and gets everybody - players, staff, ballboys, supporters - fully pulling in the same direction, just through sheer force of personality and will? Doesn't win any of first 3 matches, knocked out of Europe, only 3 wins out of 6 in the league, derided by the media, questioned by fans, yet his belief in his style of football and what he's trying to build is unwavering. Bit by bit continues to improve, brings in all the right players, wins the cup, goes unbeaten in 31 and finally wins the league back, all in his first season. Fantastic.

It's worth remembering though, that Ange's sides are always a bit ropey the first season, and it's season 2 when it all starts to come together :fear:

Definitely a tear in my eye at full time there. Incredible stuff!

I’ve got a feeling next season will be unbelievable. His teams usually do better in the second season

Usually a second season isn’t as good with a lot of the best managers we’ve had, BR’s forst season was untouchable, WGS first was the most enjoyable to watch but the CL runs made it better after, Lenny’s first season he lost it at the end against ICT but we were superb that year.

usually the first season was unexpected and superb, but under Ange even though it’s been that, it feels like it’s just the start. He’s not content with just this season, as outstanding as he’s done. He won’t be happy with just that.
