He has * all to work with in certain areas. All well and good wanting him to make changes quicker, but look at that bench.

Rogic - came on and did * all, often gets bypassed in quick games.

Ajeti - hopeless and would have been a man down.

Bitton - need I say anything?

    Montgomery - young kid.

Soro - all he does is foul and give the ball away.

    Urhoghide - miles off it.

    Our squad depth is shambolic.

well Ange needed to rotate the squad and eduoard didn't play against alkmaar and rogic was probably gassed, hence mcgregor

It's a shame that these teething problems are happening but they will improve.

That was every bit as bad as Lennon or Kennedy today.
He made a mistake with starting 11 ? That's fine, that happens.

But sitting on your * and watching the huns turn the screw is a joke. Pathetic today

Mate, I was rolling my eyes at all the Bhoys who were getting over-excited and thinking this would be a walkover. I knew it would be a tough game. That said, I expected us to have brought some of our newly won confidence to the game, but that was simply a re-run of the last half dozen matches against them.

They were better organised, more street-wise, and scored their usual set-piece goal. They were everything they were against us in recent matches… and we were everything we were.

I strongly suspected that Edouard would be an empty shirt, that Christie would be a headless chicken, CalMac would shrink, and the game would bypass Turnbull. I wanted to be wrong - I wasn’t… and I’m not being a smug *.

What I’m most disappointed with was Ange’s apparent ineptitude. I’m gutted.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Don’t disagree - was more wondering at comments more generally in the thread re subs at 70 minutes…..legacy pish….

The manager strikes me as someone who will make the changes he sees fit, when he sees fit.

The idea that Strachan is limiting his willingness or capacity to make subs doesn’t stack up - to me anyway.

Iv seen enough to know were going to be fine. Reactionary pish aside we had the most clear cut chances to win easily. Thats after 6 weeks in charge.

Some of the criticism is * mental. I don’t really know what else he could have done to really change that game. Our subs bench wouldn’t look out of place at Aberdeen.

We got done by a set piece - yet again against those * - and missed 2 or 3 massive chances.

It could go a lot deeper than just choosing when to make subs.

It could be a case that training is centred around the team being changed on the 70th minute.

By the same token, it could entirely be Postecoglou’s plan.

What I don’t think can be denied, is that the current set up is unhealthy. He should have his own men in.

Clearly got the starting 11 wrong and should have changed it at least 10 minutes sooner.
Overall though I think today was better performance wise (barring first 30 mins of 2nd half) that most of that we seen last season.

He might not have needed to make changes if he hadn’t * to the starting line up / formation so badly (and then stuck with it for so long when it was obviously not working).

I've been his biggest critic and the toys were getting * out the pram from day one. Hated the appointment, hated the term "Angeball" hated full backs going centre.

Always said I'd judge him after the last two games.

I like him, like what he is trying to do.....he needs the personnel though.

I can see his methods and why Ralston thrives and yet others with more talent fail.

A * week, the next two days are vital, but I'm OK and I think we will be too.

I know this is probably just a knee-* reaction, but come off it mate, people are happy with him because he's done a good job so far, with the way Lennon left our squad most people expected this to take a year to fix.

How did he * the starting lineup? That starting XI today was the best available.

Only possible change would be Rogic for Eddy and Christie to left wing but that would have given us even less to work with on the bench.

I definitely saw improvement over last season. I would agree that they were better organised and as usual much better from set pieces, but I felt as though we played well in spells.

The reality is, Edouard should’ve scored and Kyogo should’ve too. I can’t criticise Ange too much for starting Edouard, but I do think he should’ve made changes sooner.

Looking at the bigger picture though, we were away from home against a team that we finished about 30 points behind just a few months ago. A new manager has come in and had to rebuild a squad entirely in next to no time. The reason so many people felt confident about today is largely down to the job he’s done so far.

Needs to make substitutions sooner. The whole forum could see the change and the way the game was turning against us.
