You were right about Ntcham and Forrest getting benched yesterday so I’ll go with you :56:

To be honest I wouldnt be to bothered Ajer starting at centre back. But in midfield- thats madness. Never played a game for us there before so your advocating playing him there in the biggest game of the season. Its all conjecture anyways never going to happen. Its between Ntcham and Armstrong to partner Brown.

    I would go..

    Gordon
    Lustig Simunovic Boyata KT
    Brown Ntcham
    Forrest Armstrong Sinclair
    Griff
Can change Armstrong for Rogic or McGregor. Armstrong more suited to slotting it to make it a five man midfield when defending though.

Another long cl night? Weaker opposition, starting defence back to full fitness, them on poor form/manager sacked and us flying. Total overreactions same as the build up to the man city game. It will be close, us winning isn't very unlikely.

Who's more clinical on the ball, though? That is the difference in Europe and precisely why we resigned Paddy. That assist at the weekend summed him up. Even when he's having a mare he can produce a bit of magic.

Anderlecht are in free fall mode. Sometimes that is the most dangerous time to face a team like that, but we'll be favourites and with good reason. If everybody is fully fit, we should come away with a positive result.

hmmm, have to disagree. Just got a new manager and won away from home yesterday. Always the worst times to play teams i think wit a new manager.

as long as we dont lose the game ill be happy.

I do realise that Paddy is a more dangerous player (Although maybe Forrest is starting to up his game in that regard), just in terms of keeping possession though, Forrest is stronger. I'm torn on who to start tbh, I think they're both great players in their own ways

Should be aiming for all 3 points. Could be a big game early in the group with Anderlecht in such chaos. If we get all 3 points away, that gives us a great chance at the Europa League. Can't see them getting points against PSG or Bayern (we'll be lucky to get anything), so if we get the win we go into the final matchday at home against a team we know we can beat.

Ntcham will reach a level Armstrong never will. In hindsight it is clear from his comments before the game that he was totally star struck against PSG (and possibly shouldn't have played for that reason); but you can't fairly judge his ability at this level from that one game (his first at this level) as a star struck kid against an absolute monster of a team.

I think Ntcham will play and play * well.

Same as the weekend. Just need to be a bit more clinical and pick the right passes when we're in.

I'm with those who think there will be changes in the midfield, but I don't think Armstrong should miss out.

    Brown - Armstrong
    Rogic

    Brown - Ntcham
    Rogic

    Brown - Ntcham
    Armstrong

    Brown - Armstrong
    McGregor

    Brown - Ntcham
    McGregor
From all those, I don't think both Ntcham and Rogic will play.

Don't think Armstrong misses out completely, so it's either #3 or 4, for me. Don't particularly think Rogic should be dropped, but could see it happening.

Roberts-Forrest is a tough one for me, completely get why some would prefer Forrest, but I think it's mental to have Roberts here on loan and not play him in big games. Especially against our weakest opponent.

Back 4 will be as is, I'd imagine. Griff Doesn't deserve to be dropped, but it isn't outwith the realms of possibility.

Must win. Tough call from Rodgers.

Harsh as * on mcgregor but I think he misses out, I wouldn't change the 3 from the weekend.
