Firstly RIP Pele, it’s not his fault but the grovelling tributes are boak inducing, ronaldos tribute was suitably stupid and overboard but the worst so far was haaland saying, “whatever a modern footballer does, Pele did it first”, NO HE DIDNT

As much as I hate …. Utterly hate …. To have to agree with anything the ‘* *’ says….
I do agree that ‘in football’ Pele did it first … and more…
… a guy who genuinely did come from kicking fruit about the streets and became a legend while remaining at his native club for the entirety of his ‘productive’ career… it would be unheard of now.
I’ve seen Messi play… I’d have loved to see Maradona or Pele play…
… but that 1970 team with Pele were something else and would be on my time machine wish list.
You can have any opinion you want about Pele.. but not sure why you would get angry or frustrated at fans or fellow footballers making their own personal tributes.Fear Dearg likes this. -
Not annoyed by media tributes etc, but annoyed with pro's tribute when they take the moment of someones death to make it all about themselves as per usual
RIP Pele -

People paying tribute to him in the way they are shows the impact he had on the sport we love.
