Fair, but Souza is a standout, this guy isn't.

 

Nothing to do with this guy being good enough or not, you’ve just bust your own logic.

 

Pretty sure this guy was one of the best all rounders on that stats graph that Souza looked an outlier on

And shows the difference in how we're operating and how we're looking now more than ever..

 

From that graph he looks like he would be a decent addition to the team. I've never seen any of them play so can't really comment but there seemed to be more hype about Souza for obvious reasons. However, as always, I trust Ange to find players in the position we need.

 

If he lacks positioning and concentration, that's worse than being poor on the ball. We need a player with great reading of the game, and physical strength to win possession of the ball. Dribbling skills just unnecessarily raise the price while not important to the destroyer role.

 

That highlight reel had to have been made as a wind up

 

Of course, it says 'next Busquets' in the title and then shows clips of him committing fouls, losing the ball and falling over!

In the other highlight clip where he's playing in the Championship, he looks ok. Nothing mind-blowing, but he certainly has the right physical profile. Looks like a bit of an all-rounder as well, running with the ball, a few intelligent lay-offs, a couple of good finishes and a big unit defensively. He also seems quite determined.

If Souza has doubts as has been reported, this guy might be a decent fall back option.

 

Looking at the graph, if I’m reading it correctly, he gets dribbled past a * of a lot. Even Cam Devlin from Hearts looks a better proposition using that data(who is good but not Celtic or Champions League level).

 

Almost looks as bad as when Dembele was trying to do keepie uppies on his Barca launch.

 

Tbf jokes can go over my head from time to time. Especially if I go into a football video thinking it's going to be a legit highlight reel

On that note i'm sure we actually did something similar with a highlight reel of Morelos against us lol

 

Personally, I think given the progressive way we play - a solid DM with a bit of skill and passing range to help open the game up is essential. Especially in Europe if we are going to have a proper go at these teams.

 

In Europe, we will be on the back foot about 80% of the time, next season especially. Should we get into a position to attack, the game will be wide open anyway, ripe for a counterattack. It's surviving the defense phase we struggle with.

 

After one page this guy has been described as having poor positioning, concentration and is raw.

But then on one of those fitba statistic graph things, that we seem to love now, he’s almost at the top of it.

Gut feeling says he’s not good enough to be starting 6 for us, having seemingly flopped at Benfica and Forest.

 

Dont get the negativity towards this guy. From what i see, hes composed, never rushed for a pass, can defend, win his duels and looks to be a big lad. If we cant get souza, then if the scouting dept thinks hes a goer then we trust them.
Positioning, temperament ect can all be coached into him and come with experience on the pitch.

A skillful DM can make those transitions between defence and attack much more efficient though. I think it's very important whoever we bring in as a 6 is almost as good on the ball as they are breaking up attacks.

Finding a quality player that can do both to a high level and within our price range is a different story however lol
