Thought he should have been on a lot sooner. Klimala had a poor shot attempt that in reality could and should have been played in a wee * forward right into Ajetis path, which would have put him right in one on one.

 

For all the flak he’s getting tbh there wasn’t any real quality attacking movement from either wing once they both strikers came on. Strikers need service to score goals (unless your french eddy because he’s a *!) anyone that’s played football at any level knows it takes time to settle into a team, played my first few games not even knowing anyone’s name never mind having any sort of connection with the team, that comes with time. It’s real life not FIFA, the squad have 1 guys name to mind where he will have 20+ to put a name to a face, as well as remember what position they play. Gi the lad a break ffs.

Hate having to wait weeks to see new signings, but considering (I feel like I use that word a lot lately) the shutdown he was on etc, I aint going to be too harsh on him (nor Griffiths).
He's back at a pro club doing his job though, couple weeks get back in to shape and fitness and be banging them in come mid september, run of games and him and Edouard can get a hat trick each against the hun * in October.

 

It's gas. He's only 23, signed a 4 year deal and he hasn't played in a year. * forbid Lennon try to slowly integrate him in to the team (or even worse, he doesn't score when given 20 minutes after being at the club for a week with no preseason and, again, having not played in a year).

Hate when Lenny gives this usual match fit stuff, it's not helped by lack of game time and his use of subs.

Would normally agree, but it is clear and obvious Ajeti was sunning it up for a few weeks. He does need time.

Guys like Soro and Klimala back in February though, was no excuse for them not being up to match speed.

 

No. Players are much more likely to pick up unnecessary injuries if they are thrown in before they are ready. He hasn't had any form of pre season so far, other than what he's had since he signed for us. Build up the game time he gets over a couple of weeks. I expect if he gets a run out today it'll be around half an hour, probably get an hour next week.

 

He'll need to see minutes and whilst he might not be fit fit, he's been put on the park.

Just think Lenny is a little in fear of mixing it up a bit with the team and it's restricting a lot of the players from developing.

We've bought some amount of players that practically can't even be judged and some of them are already getting moved on.

 

In general I agree with the sentiment, just not in this players sepcific circumstances. I think Klimala should have been brought on earlier and got more game time. However i think Lenny got it right with Ajeti. It was a game that was done, wasn't overly physical, so give him his debut, maybe sneak a goal to get his confidence up, all with no risk to the result and little to the player while maybe helping his fitness a little.

I would be surprised if he features today, but if he does, as I said above, I wouldn't be expecting him to get more than 30 minutes, and that will only be if we are cruising at that stage.
