    I struggle to see us paying £3.5m for a player in midfield unless we can shift on Ideguchi, Abdilgaard and McCarthy. Would like him though. Certainly would add something spicy to the midfield.

    I can see those 3 leaving, abilgaard was someone we scrambled to sign after Souza fell through. Ideguchi already linked with J-league and McCarthy might have a few offers in Scotland and down south even on loan.

    Strong on and off the ball and silky as well. Decent mix and looks like he could sit in the 6 and play it kinda like McGregor by going by the press and getting quick passes off..

    People keep saying that but McGregor is so so crucial in that deep lying midfielder role especially with the way we play football no one in our squad is anywhere close to him in that position.

    Whereas further up there isn’t that same gulf in class between Hatate/ O’Reilly and McGregor
