He's a level above all of them.

Maybe so. We'd be wiser spending the money on a couple of defenders and a holding midfielder though. Attack hasn't been the problem in Europe.

Far better player than any of them IMO.

Really think the board should push the boat for McGeady to come here in January, whether its a loan or permanent signing.

He 100% will be leaving Everton in January as he will need game time if he wants any chance of reclaiming his place in the Ireland team for the Euros. It would be typical of Celtic to go for him as well after a disappointing European campaign. Only worry is if there's a serious interest from any other PL clubs.

never gets a game for Everton, not even on the subs bench, unless he is injured

McGeady has interesting loan offers to consider before the window shuts.

All teams have agreed to pay his wages in full which is what prevented his move to us. 3 Championship clubs want him but so do Sevilla.

The main thing concerning him is what move will improve his chances of getting picked for Ireland in the summer.

He thinks he'll have strong competition for a place in Sevilla but will basically be starting most games if he dropped down to the Championship.

    What should he do?

I think he should gamble and move to La Liga. Better coaching, better team mates, better opposition, better chances of European club football.

I can see why he might choose the Championship. More starts and possibly better looking performances against lesser opposition.

O'Neil would probably prefer him with La Liga experience even if it's less games.

I think quite the opposite regarding O'Neil. He already gets most of his squad from the Championship or the Prem, so I think if he wants to secure first team action and secure a place for the Ireland squad he should stay in England. I dont think going to Sevilla is necassarily a bad move, but if he wants a guaranteed spot in the Ireland team I think the safe bet is England.

If I were him I'd be on the first flight to Spain.

Looks like he agreed with you. I can't believe he didn't choose La Liga. Very few players in the EPL get offered that opportunity in their careers.

I know Ireland's players all come from the English leagues basically and it's true it might offer better understanding of play if he learns it in the same leagues. I just thought it would make him unique to the Ireland squad if he played in La Liga. It's a very high standard of game too so it's would be easy for a player to play a certain role, especially against European competition.

    :50:

Surprised but all the best to him. Hope it works out.

He's better than the championship, good deal for Sheffield Wednesday.

AC Milan were signing * from Portsmouth and QPR.

The amount of money SKY has ploughed into England has * the matrix.
