Agent says Celtic want Brazilian

Celtic are in the running with Roma for the signature of Spartak Moscow's Brazilian midfielder, Santos Mozart, according to the player's agent. Dario Canovi told the Scottish Daily Express: "Right now the most serious option for Mozart is a concrete offer from Celtic.
"They want to pair him up once more with Nakamura as they played together for three seasons at Reggina.
"He's near the peak of his career and wants to explore all his options."
Mozart, 27, has 12 months of a four-year deal at Spartak still to run but the Russians are understood to be ready to release the player signed from Reggina for £4m in 2005.

Played for Brasil in the 2000 Olympics, he must've been 20 then - so they thought he was goning to be good, or indeed he was good.

But disappeared of the international scene (C'mon it's Brasil, bit harder to get a game for them), don't mean he's a bad player.

Got big time experiance in CL & in Serie A & Russian league (they seem to like Brasilians over there!!) Spartak are a point off the pace at top of league.

He could be alright for us, looks pretty strong & is a decent age, he might beef up the CM & add some grit with Brown - could be a good signing.

The usual fact about brasilians not settling, might be offset by the fact that the * been living in Moscow for 2 years!!

Doubt we're looking at him for his scoring abilities - I think if it's true that we're looking at him, then Appiah (who I'd much rather have) looks to be another one that got away...well how can we be expected to compete with Arsenal & Juventus in capturing players?

If hes similar to lenny i wouldnt want him . The reason being that Hartley is crap already imo and brown who will be amazing i am sure isnt the most prolofiic scorer so to say partner Brown i would want a midefilder who can nab about 10 goals a season as we have seen this year we cant rely on strikers
