No been a bad watch first half. Lacking a bit in quality, but it’s pretty open. Can see a red card in the second half.

Agreed, some half decent football in a decent first half. Lacking in quality like you say.

The drama has kind of made up for the lack of quality. First goal was a good finish, the keeper didn’t cover himself in glory mind you.

That Burkina Faso side looked solid as *. Unlucky to lose that tonight.

The world cup in South Africa was an absolute nightmare. I love the world cup but that one was the worst in my memory, and those things contributed massively to that.

Ange talks about the Asian market - I’ll tell you something, there is an abundance of talent in Africa we should be looking at.

Vincent Aboubakar would be very handy for us up top. Like the look of Burkina goalkeeper Herve Koffi as well.

Aboubakar is on £115k a week in the Middle East.

Everyone knows there's talent in Africa but too many clubs have deeper scouting roots/history/network there that we'd be picking up scraps. That's not to say we shouldn't start looking there or ignore the market. It's an up hill battle. You have teams that bring them over before they're out of their teens. Only chance you have is to get them young, otherwise they're usually in Dutch, Belgian, French or Italian youth teams.

Fair play to him, didn’t know he was getting that type of money.

You are right but I wonder if there is any way we can set up feeder club arrangement there. Although, probably one of the biggest issues we would have with getting young talent from Africa is the work permit issues I suspect.

Poor standard of football, really. Watched the Cameroon game it was like a game of basketball, and not a good one.

    FT Morocco 1-0 Ghana.
Bit better second half. Fine goal from Boufal in the last 10 minutes.

Nigeria v Egypt just started. After 10 minutes looks like a decent game.
