    CELTIC are on the verge of agreeing a Scottish record kit deal with Adidas.

    The Hoops' current £25million-plus contract with New Balance runs out this summer.


    SunSport understands talks are ongoing over a long-term deal with Adidas - for even more cash.

    If concluded, it would be the biggest kit contract in Scottish football history and would start next season.


    Several leading brands have been fighting to replace New Balance as Celtic's kit supplier.

    But Adidas are thought to be at the front of the queue after top-level discussions.


    The sportswear giants already have Man United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus in their football stable.

    Celtic now look set to be added to that portfolio in what would be a huge financial boost for the Scottish champions.


    New Balance replaced Celtic's long-term kit partners Nike in 2015 after agreeing a deal in excess of £25m.

    But five years on, it's expected an Adidas contract would shatter that record-breaking agreement.

    Celtic declined to comment when approached by SunSport.

    I really rate this.

    NB kits have on the whole been *, home ones in particular. I've liked the training gear though.

    Hoping that Adidas can bring both...would be pretty exciting.

    If that's it then that's the best home top since 1995s with hooped collar , for me personally.

    That's a stoater and nice how they kept the hoops unbroken by stopping the Adidas lines at shoulder.

    NB have been (with one exception) utterly shocking.

    Nike were hit and miss.

    Time to give the germans a crack at the iconic hoops.

    This is the best concept iv seen. Essentially the same as one of the ones posted above, with maybe the green being a bit darker.

    Just keep the design simple - top quality materials and fabrication... and green and white hoops please. That concept is a cracker!
