    It's clear as day that this guy is far superior than Taylor, he can actually go past a player, he's got good imagination on the park, looks to make things happen, has the confidence to try a bit of trickery.

    Looks strong and powerful on the ball, technically very good too and plays with heart. To me he seems much more comfortable on the ball than Tierney ever did.

    Far, far better than Taylor. Come on Ange, play the * kid!

    Defensively, he is really good. That's what got me excited about Tierney, too, when he debuted. Needs regular games.

    People have spoken about his defensive frailties but all I remember are good signs. He was immense vs AZ defensively in a very difficult game. He already looks to have the attacking threat being more of a winger too, I see no reason why he can't go in the same direction as Tierney did - if not better.

    When Tierney first broke through he was a skinny wee kid but played with heart and was solid defensively. From what I've seen of Montgomery so far he's better going forward than Tierney was, but has shown he can be a warrior too.
