No chance he's away summer time

As much as he's not kicked on at all from last season (arguably not as good/impactful), we won't sell him that quickly. Specially not when it would look like we want rid of and would end up taking a massive hit on him.

We would at least give him another year to hit form and try to then sell (if not quite up to it but starts to show improvement), to recoup the money.

I see what you’re saying but unless there’s a huge change we’re going to be taking a big hit on him either way. At the moment he’s only at the level that Oh was last season.

    Big man will come good

Look how long it took Larsson to become brilliant a long time

Lol, a bit of a difference there though, eh?!
Good luck to him but currently I can’t see it. Hopefully he’ll prove me wrong.

I hope so - moreover as a fellow Irishman, I’d love to see it.

I can't think of another player I've hoped to be proven wrong about as much as Idah.

Dundee United at home and he trudged off the pitch having being substituted with the look of a man that knew he had served up a whole lot of nothing. Poor.

People were swearing blind Oh was the next big thing, that Iwata was going to replace McGregor at DM, and that Yang was showing flashes of brilliance. We all want the players we sign to come good but we after a certain amount of time you have to be honest about what's in front of you.

He's been here a year, he's played nearly 50 games, had around 20 starts, and I don't think he's any better than the day he walked in the door. He's 23 and I don't see how a few more starts is going to turn him into a substantially different player from the one we saw the other day.

Don't get me wrong, I think when we start creating more opportunities he'll find the net more often. But everything he's shown is a good level below what we'd expect from a starting forward, even a young one. There's not one dimension where you'd say, aye, he's at the level we'd expect in that regard. People will talk about potential but I'd rather go off of progress and I just don't see that at all.

Admittedly is concerning me a bit what he's offering up when given the chance. But we need to persist with him.

Looks like he needs a bit of a rocket up his * atm though.

Think £9m wasn't surprising in modern football but I also still think we've overpaid based on the impact he had in that 3-4 months. Even then it was a bit on and off at times. I also don't think the uncertainty over their position has helped him and Kyogo this season but same time neither has really stamped down their claim.

Entire strike force has been a bit wishy-washy this season... Both main strikers off at the same time is compounding this.

We definitely overpaid, but we knew that... Still expected him to shore in with about 15-20 goals this year - which would ultimately justify the money. Hope was he'd grow from that to providing "better" contributions. He'll have to find something to get to that now...

Think once we start upping our tempo a lot more, which should create a load more chances for both him and Kyogo we'll see a lot more from them

I'm a bit critical of the big man.

Wrong option today during that counter attack but it's a tough day to be judging too harshly.

Would love him to have an extra gear though...

His link up play has been great. Fancy him to score 2nd half.
