I think Celtic need more than a tap in merchant, even though they're decent to have in a team. Ajeti is a tap in merchant. We need someone who can do more than that. Which is why I can't see us signing McClaren. Decent goalscorer to be fair but probably lacks everything else needed.

He has been good recently and is deserving of a place in the team over O'Riley on current form

Re watching the game this morning and tbh O'Riley was as good for the first 25min when we played our best football of the game, as Mooy was the last 30min and I'm not convinced Mooy would have coped with the momentum shift after Harts * up any better than the rest of the team.

Put in an unbelievable ball with his left foot first half and was raging no one got on the end of it..

I counted 4 players who didn't even attempt to get to it. Think Carter-Vickers was the only one who half made an attempt..

    Played well again..

He adds a good dynamic to our midfield, great option to have. He’s improved massively since he first came in.

Ange will need to get over his anti-Australian bias tonight. No Mooy, no League Cup final.

Slowly but surely offering us something in a sense of a reliable rotational player.

But by no stretch should he be a starting player.

Three midfield positions, think more are ahead of him that can bring more to the table in a 3 man midfield.

McGregor, Hatate, oriely, hacksabanovic(playing the ten), the fact we've just signed Iwata.
Surely pushes Mooy back down the line and unfortunately for him, should see him get less game time.

Mooy improvement has surprised me and at times he has done impressive things but he isn't a long-term solution.

Imo he is a fairly good player that can provide a steady shift and is doing us a job for now. If he moved on at the end of the season I'd be grateful for his contribution but I wouldn't be overly disappointed to see him move on

    Big man absolutely strolled it.

Wish we'd stop playing through balls for him mind you.
