I think whoever is drawn first gets home first leg and away second leg.

why would other LOI fans want Dundalk to get their hands on CL millions , they would dominate the LOI for years with that money?

They are Irish they would find ways to * all that money :smiley-laughing002: Rovers did a few years back... Im a LOI fan and would like to see any of our teams(bar Sham Rovers) do well and promote our league. LOI is on its knees and needs something like this.. Football comes in cycles I think, this is Dundalks time but it wont last forever, but for now I wish them all the luck(unless against Celtic)

Look at those coefficients, give us Hapoel or Dundalk please.

Where would you like to play first, home or away?

I'd like to play away first, keep it tight and get a score draw while getting to know how they play.

Mind you when we played Malmo we were 2 0 up after 10 mins so maybe playing at home could be good to blow a team out of it straight away.

Anyone know the stats of how we faired playing home or away first in the qualifiers recently?

Hapoel knocked out Olympiacos so they won't be mugs, not too keen on another long trip to Israel either.

I was thinking this as well. I think a lot want them because they haven't really heard of them. Neither have I to be honest, but you don't knock out Olympiacos over two legs if you don't have something about you. It would be another long haul as well as you mention. I'm not sure if I would be happy to draw them or not.

Would take any of them if it meant being at home for the second leg.
Zagreb look to be the best team.
Hapoel is a horrible trip and they're a good side, they knocked out Olmpyicakos man.
Dundalk is obviously the dream, but if you knock out Bate your no mugs either.

Dundalk would be the best draw for us by a mile. The other 4 could be tricky but would still fancy our chances no matter who we get.

Any of them teams we should beat. But, saying that, any of them could beat us. I hate these * qualifiers, always nervy games. Would like Dundalk so i could maybe get to see the away game. I was at Oriel park back in the day, 1980 i think, when we drew 0-0 there in the European cup (i think we only beat them 3-2 at parkhead too). Remember there was about 5000 more fans in the ground than there should have been, * frightening, but great craic. Bobby Lennox played that night too, only time i ever saw a Lisbon Lion play. Ahhhh the good old days :smiley-laughing002:

How much are these game realistically worth?

Does it not work out at about 8 million for Europa league qualification all in (3m euros for losing qualifiers then about 5-6m for Europa league group stage participation and match day money + tv rights).

Vs 2 million euros for winning knockout and 20odd million for group stage participation match day and tv rights?

So potentially about a 15 million pound qualifier - that about right?
