I reckon if he goes to England it will be players he's worked with, maybe some youngsters from Liverpool as well.

Aye, I think he'll try for a couple of players from down south. Spain as well probably.

The sort of experience and influence Gerrard would have in Euro games particularly the qualifiers would be worth it alone, he would have to take a massive drop in salary of course but I don't see this as being out of the question, either this or pull a few strings with Suarez to sign :smiley-laughing002:

He's apparently homesick and in the twilight now. I dount he'd play for another English club, and I think he's always had a soft spot for Celtic as well. Could see Rodgers reuniting him for one last hurrah. Make a dent in the CL, put Ger's back in their place, 6 in a row? He's made his money, I think he would come.

Here is a current list of all the possible teams we might face in the 2nd Qualifying round. It will be whittled down slightly over the next week or so depending on what happens in the San Marino Playoff final, and the Moldova Gold Cup, but the team we play on 12/13 July will definitely be one from the list below:

    FC Santa Coloma - Andorra
    Alashkert FC - Armenia
    Zrinjski Mostar - Bosnia
    Flora Tallinn - Estonia
    B36 Torshavn - Faroe Islands
    SJK Seinaejoki - Finland
    Lincoln Red Imps - Gibraltar
    Ferencvaros - Hungary
    Dundalk - Ireland
    Hapoel Beer-Sheva - Israel
    Feronikeli - Kosovo
    FK Liepaja - Latvia
    Zalgiris Vilnius - Lithuania
    F91 Dudelange - Luxembourg
    Vardar Skopje - Macedonia
    Valletta FC - Malta
    Dacia Chisnau - Moldova
    Mladost Podgorica - Montenegro
    Crusaders Belfast - Northern Ireland
    Tre Penne - San Marino
    La Fiorita - San Marino
    Olimpija Ljubljana - Slovenia
    IFK Norrkoepping - Sweden
    The New Saints - Wales

Here is a map showing the locations of the possible opponents (yellow just means they are pending results of some upcoming matches)

Luckily they're seeded for the 2nd Qualifying Round! Might meet them in the 3rd QR but.

Should not be any problems.. Even though it would be a close trip for me if we draw IFK Norrköping, i would like to avoid them. They are very good, and i would say even better then Malmö. Their manager will be replacing Erik hamren as Swedens next national team manager.

can we get ferencavos in the first game, they would be the only team from that list that has the capacity to cause any problems

Yes, we can get Ferencvaros. By the sounds of what Skelleto said in the comment above yours, sounds like Norrkopping could cause us some problems too.
