So an individual can't have a very good game if the team don't win. I'll not bother replying again, because that is absolute nonsense, and a ridiculous logic.

TBF it wasn't even a bad result. If we had lost that game we would not have made the last 16. It was a really valuable point.

Obviously all the above comments about his leadership and drive etc are spot on but he also does this thing where, when he has the ball, he looks like he's about to lose it and suddenly he'll drag it in a slightly different directions and the other player will just be left standing there. Don't know how he does it but it's a really underrated part of his play.

I think a lot of the technical aspects of his play are really underated as well:

    Pass for Hooper:

    Bit of skill:

    Build up to Sammy's goal:

    This finish:

There's been countless examples, he scored a goal identical to the one at Ibrox at St Mirren the same year if I remember right, had a couple of great assists last season (the pass to Griffiths against Dundee zunited was something else).

It's not his biggest attribute but he's far from poor. That goes largely ignored.

Under O'Neill it would have been a nightmare start, because we were basically guaranteed to lose all our away games :smiley-laughing002:

However, we went on to beat Spartak next game, which probably made the point against Benfica a lot better.

Aye, Brown has a great first touch, ball control and dribbling ability, also one of the best players we've had at turning people.

Not the best at passing and shooting though although decent at spotting a pass in the final 3rd but just never plays that far forward for us, at Hibs he used his skill and dribbling and slipped passes through a lot to create goals - which is really why we signed him but then we moved him into a deeper role with not much freedom to go forward.

I think the boy Walker from Hearts plays like a young Brown although he's not as quick and strong as Brown was when he was young and not quite the driving force for Hearts than Brown was at Hibs, plays the same sort of style though.
