A LEGEND. He will go down as one of the greats for the service he has put in over the years and future years.

Hopefully goes straight into our coaching system and that looks highly likely with his involvement in the youth team.

He is Mr celtic. We are all Scott Brown.

BTW I'm glad butch dicked off. * of a man so he is.

Seems to have gotten better, had a great season this year !! Good to see him get over his injuries too. Worth every single penny and hope he will still be here for years to come.

Worth Every Penny and has been by far one of the best captains we have had, roll on 10 in a row with Broony leading the way.

    \o/ the legend.

To ask if he's worth £4.4M, when you just have to look at the state of our performances when he wasn't in the team (particularly the CL qualifiers last year), we are a far better team with Brown in, even if he isn't having a good game. His determination, organisation, desire to win, energy in the middle of the park - all of this has an impact on the he players around him and the teams performance as a whole. A stand out captain, winner and leader. If you don't love this man you must be a cold hearted, miserable *.

Must admit wasn't his biggest fan at all until this season really. After his kick at Neymar I thought that was it and I wished he would * off:56:

Now I think he's been our best player this season and a fantastic leader. He came back from that long injury a couple of years ago a different player.

Hope he captains us to many more titles and European runs maybe even a CL trophy next season...:50:

As a player I don't think he was ever worth £4.4 million.

As a captain he probably is but like the other poster I don't think he has been that great of a captain until recently but maybe that's just because it became clearer because he was missing.

He's been quality for about four seasons now. 4.4 Million has proved to be a bargain.

If you don't he's worth 4.4 million ask yourself how much we would need to spend to replace him with a player of similar quality.

Thought we may have overspent on Brown when he first signed and wasn't his biggest fan, I remember trying to get my head round how abysmal his passing was.

But he has improved season on season and for the last three seasons he has been excellent and a real leader on the park.

We are a better team and squad with Scott Brown that what we would be without.

If they ever put up a statue of Broony i think it should be in this pose with the words

    "No huns shall pass". :icon_mrgreen:

Personally I think the only seasons he has been poor is 6 months of his first season and Tony Mowbrays season, where he was injured and shunted from pillar to post in the team playing through injections, still can't bekieve that St Mirren game Mowbray put him to Left Back.

The Mowbray season is the only negative I can think of in terms of Broony's performances over a period of time. Has matured into a leader for us and has more than justified the money we paid for him. I think his passing ability and quickness of his feet is fairly underrated by most.

A good way to tell that someone knows nothing about football is when they say 'Brown was a better player at Hibs' or 'Celtic wasted Brown'.

I find it incredible teams aren't constantly after him, considering his international team mates have gone for all sorts of money.
