He was ripped apart in the EPL with injury, same would happen up here.

In Greece & Ukraine, he's proneness was not so evident as they aint physical leagues

 

not evident as he wasnt injured....he lost his place in the team through injury but has been fit of late. Robinho, JO etc keeping him out.

Not an injury prone player.

 

Didn't he dislocate his shoulder when a ball hit him in the leg

nery castillo ? your having a laugh no chance, guy was the hottest prospect in the world afew years ago after his mexico display in the coppa america no * chance would carry him to cp on my back to get him.

 

What has he done lately?

 

been kept out the team by robihno elano jo etc because of a injury he had a while back ?

 

A lot of the time it was his mental weakness... he'd have a bad stretch and say, "Oh, I'm hurt." He's only had one legitimate injury I think.

Lol... he wasn't even the hottest prospect in CONCACAF... or Mexico for that matter. He's great, but there are so many players that are better, have been better, and have always been rated better than him. You might be confusing him with Guardado.

Definitely not confusing him with Guardardo who is also an excellent player.
Castillo scored a few goals in Copa America including winner against Brazil.
Showed great pace, skill and was an excellent finisher.
Could get him on loan but when he does the business I doubt we would pay the transfer fee. Cost 20 million so would imagine they would want large chunk of that back.

Very, very talented and if Strachan could manage to get the best out of his huffy temprement it would be well worth it.

 

I agree, skillwise he is better than any of our options bar Naka... even better than McGeady I'd say. I just felt you were rating him a bit too much.

I'd love to see him here if he can get his act together... otherwise I don't think it's worth the risk.

 

i saw him in person when USA played Mexico in the Gold Cup final last year - he was terrorizing us on that side the whole game and as much as it pains me to complement Mexican players he is really good. Granted I think it was Bornstein playing fullback on that side (terrible) but he's fast and has quite an arsenal of moves. i wouldn't say he's worth 20 mil though, but maybe 12 mil...

 

better chance we get him on loan for a year so shaktar can sell him for his real value in the future.

He has a serious attitude problem... but he is also a fantastic player. And he is eager to play, so if Celtic wants him you would have no problem to get it for loan. Any questions regarding his play I'll be glad to answer them.
