very good shout recommending this mate. I wasn't aware that they released a "sequel". both ZG videos have to be amongst the best documentaries ever made if not the best. the new one is probably better as what it talks about is affecting us big time right now (the global "economy"). I thought about it myself before watching this but the easy-to-understand way they put it is brilliant. I love the idea of the venus project too.

Just a quick heads up- For anyone who wants to know when it stops looking like an art student's final major project: You can skip the first 4.5 minutes of eye close-ups and white noise.

As for the concept: also a pile of *. First, technology isn't at that level.

Second, the cost of implementing technological systems is incredibly high. Small business would be destroyed by it and the few owners of those machines would rule the world.

Third: if no one needs money or jobs, who makes the robots run? And don't say they fix themselves. If they do, then there are no technicians; if that's the case, there can be no innovation.

Also, why strive for something so difficult if it's going to suck? I like having something to do, problems to face, things to create. A lot of people in the world work because we like what we do, not because 'the man' makes us. I'm sure hippies and stoners who don't want to get off the * couch let alone find a job like the idea, they never have to really deal with leaving their parents' basement; just replace parent with nanny state and technology.

I'm sure most of the aforementioned stoners and hippies are the same ones who get their minds blown by anything from these guys, because they know that artsy, trippy effects and sounding like a know it all while you talk out your * will always get their target audience's attention.

these questions are clearly answered in the documentary so you either didn't watch the whole thing or you didn't pay much attention to it.

Over half of your post was totally pointless hence me not even quoting, nevermind replying to it.

Either that or you have no answer to the second half of the post.

I don't have an answer for it..cos there is nothing to answer, its just a rant.
