Genuinely can’t see us signing any LB right now. Not while Tierney is there, Inamura is in the background and Scales can deputise there as an absolute last resort.

We need 2 right wingers more than we need 1 striker IMO.

We only have Forrest who is a natural in that position and he's 34 now and really only an impact player.

We have Kenny, Iheanacho, Shin, Yamada and Madea who can play up front.

We should be though, Iheanacho not a long term plan, Maeda could be away in January and Kenny is a back up striker. We’ve not seen enough of Shin either and Osmand out for 3 months at least.

If Maeda goes along with Yang start of Jan plus AFCON we’d possibly be left with-
Forrest, Kenny & Shin as our only front 3 to play the huns and United :41:

Unlikely I know but still a serious indictment on the state of our squad at the moment.

Shin and Yamada are like two players in one.. :56:

I guess we're hopefully Jota will return in Jan, he can play on the right although better on the left..

Kenny has done well, but wouldn't be comfortable starting him to lead a title charge..

New ST is essential with Iheanacho off the bench or to rotate starts..

Maeda may go in Jan too..

Totally agree, and they preferably should be left-footed to give us balance, given that all our LWs are right-footed.

Yep. It will take at least two windows unless we by a miracle manage to sell Bernardo, Ralston, a striker or two, Yang, Hatatee all in the beginning of the january window, which won't happen.

What they need to do is to get rid of as many as they can and absolutely * blow us away with a insane RW,ST and CM at least. We wont bring in 5-6 players in Jan

    This.

Not looking forward to the inevitable disappointment and frustration as another opportunity to improve passes us by due to incompetence and obliviousness from the board.

I don't necessarily disagree that we need a striker, particularly with potential departures and injuries.

However we have 4 natural strikers on our books, Kenny, Osmand, Kelechi, Shin. Then we have Maeda there where I happen to think is his best position. So that makes it 5.

On the left wing we have Jota, Balikwisha, Tounekti, Yang who are all natural left wingers and then we have Maeda who a lot of people would regard as a natural left winger.

On the right we have Forrest who is 34. We have tried loads of players out there this season to little success as it's not their natural position.

We definitely need 2 right wingers in January. We need them in terms of both quality and numbers. If we can get those 2 in then by all means move on to striker but that will require some departures.

Lucky to see Osmand this season..

Im unsure that any of the others are the required quality to see us through this season.. I think Maeda will be off..

Ideally 2 × RW would be ideal, but Jota should be hopefully available in Jan.. one is likely more realistic..

If Nancy gets it 2 x 10s is what we'll need :fear:

I agree we need two right wingers of quality. Can't keep playing Yang and Forrest, it's a lose-lose situation.

But I don't think we can count on Balikwisha as a LW.

That's two managers now , Rodgers and now O'Neil not playing Balikwisha.
If I was a sport's journalist, the first question I would ask Martin O'Neil at his next press conference is " * is going on with our £5M new player Balikwisha ? ".

Why is he not being fitted into the team ?. Why are you now playing guys like Forrest, Yang and Hatate in front of him ?.

Why is Balikwisha now been relegated to being an unused sub ?.

I see quite alot of people saying that we where linked to good targets in the summer, which is fair but i still have to disagree that the scouts did a good job.

You and me could spot the players we were linked with. Those players was very obvious good players performing well in pretty well known teams.

The whole point of a Really really good scouting team is to spot the players that isnt obvious because that is exactly what Club Brugge, Ajax, Bodö Glimt etc do. They find real gems that has never been heared of.

While we scout Dolberg , Club Brugge scout some unknown guy deep out in Africa that go on to score 30 goals in his first season.

As soon as i see us linked with Dolbergs, wingers from Barca etc you just know that 50 other clubs with a failing scouting network is involved. Yes Ajax who i mention above got him in the end but that was only because he have played there before so not scouting.

The only way to get to these players is to modernize with scouting systems such as jamestown.

Lennon miller meant to be home sick and Celtic in for the loan …. I wouldn’t touch him if that was the case maybe that’s why we are offering a loan first

People thinking we're gonna be signing 2 Rw's. You'll be lucky if we get 1 and even luckier if he's any good. Remember, the board think things are going well. They don't see the summer window as a failure. They still think they are right. Save yourselves the anguish and don't get your hopes too high for January.

We definitely need players in loads of positions but can't see us spending much without a new manager, hopefully I say, if we do go for a major spend with no new manager to oversee it it'll confirm our fears about lawwell etc and club signings

Our expectations are as low as Kris Boyd’s IQ … and for good reason.

The fact we were bidding 3 million for that right winger in the summer and he went the next day for like 10 tells you that whatever we have in place for recruitment just now is an utter shambles and not fit for purpose. No new manager will be able to fix that.
