The thought of Ange leaving gives me the fear.

We won trophies before he came here and we'll win them after he's gone. Not a slight on Ange at all, I have big respect for him, but Celtic is, was and always will be about more than one man. We have good players, assets to sell for big money, a sold-out stadium with a waiting-list for season tickets, we recruit well(for the most part), we have money in the bank and we have a sensible, if somewhat conservative(in more than one sense), board of directors. There will always be bumps in the road but as long as we don't panic or do anything stupid then there's no reason our domestic dominance shouldn't continue.

The worry is that he's the DOF and scout as well and all that squad are his signed to play his style

I wonder if Sean Dyche would be interested.

I hope you're taking the *. I'm not going from watching Angeball to the borefest Dyche calls football.

If he goes, we should be signing a progressive manager - not someone like Dyche.

I'm sure Lennon would come rushing back to help Lawell out of such a predicament

The problem is our turn around was because of him. Not because our board got wiser. Nicholson seems to work good but he is the only one from the board you can see a change. The other? I highly doubt they've changed. An now with Lawwell as chairman. He'll probably start interfering again of Ange leaves.

So my fear is we have anothee Rodgers Lennon situation where the board gives up our hard established advantage because they're tight-arsed morons.

There was no change in the club as an organisation. Ange just doesn't allow their bullshit so of he's gone our improved way of how to deal with transfers quite possible might leave as well.

He's not rated by the board? Or just too inexperienced?

    Vastly too inexperienced.

Some will point to Lenny with that comment but he was reserve manager and had an interim spell as well before being given the gig full time. Most importantly though he followed Mowbray.

Mowbray to Lennon is nowhere near Ange to Brown in terms of drops in standards.

Class shout, forgot about him. Similar style so wouldn't need to transition so much and can also be pragmatic in Europe as well. Got the best out of an average team imagine what he'd do with a much bigger budget.

We need someone that is pragmatic in Europe. We are far too open and adventurous.
Double pivot and a Wanyama style DM for these games.

We've played brilliantly in Europe under Ange in terms of attacking and scoring goals. The issue is like you said we're too open. Against the bigger teams like Leipzig and Madrid who are good in possession we need to learn to keep the ball better and when to press rather than press constantly and shoot our load by HT. We gave the ball away way too much and got caught on the counter over n over. Would like to see McGregor and Iwata in a double pivot for extra protection but would like a big bruiser, similar style to Sangare at PSV.
