You want him to single handedly stop a club being relegated by intercepting the ball and tackling more?

A defensive mid? To single handedly keep a club up?

One man?

 

Joel Piroe of Swansea would be worth a look, he has got 20 goals this year and 24 last year averaging around 1 in 2 with only a few penalties in there.

Scores all sorts of goals too, inside the box, outside the box and a few headers. Looks comfortable finishing off either foot and has good movement.

He is also quite versatile in that he can play off the right wing and has a decent return in terms of goals when doing so. I could see Jota, Kyogo and Piroe being able to form a fluid front 3. With the option being to move Jota right, Piroe down the middle and Kyogo out left just to confuse teams for short spells in games.

He’s also entering the last year of his deal and only turns 24 in August. Would likely still cost a bit but could still have decent sell on potential. Swansea are also a bit skint I am sure.



I would also take Ryan Manning as an option for left back. He has 5 goals and 10 assists from left back/ left wing back this season. Wouldn’t cost too much in wages and be a more ready alternative to Taylor than Bernabei at the moment.

 

He does look very good. Excellent technique and feisty with it.
I am sure we are interested.

 

Some more Ito stuff...

 

He's scoring well in the Championship, but then that comes with a massive premium on price, it's not a market I'm overly interested in for us just down to cost and value. We should be hoovering up youth talent from England so we can get a flow of club grown players but buying performing players from the championship can be rather expensive. His is going into last year of contract and at an 8mil transfermarkt value might be a deal available and he's got a decent profile for us if being able to play across the front 3.

I'd not take too much in Huns being linked to things though, they apparently had a 7milion bid rejected for Haji Wright from Antalyaspor yesterday....

 

Piroe has bagged 20+ a season for the last 2 seasons. That definitely comes with a price tag, would most likely be £10m+ and £15m if PL clubs are sniffing around.

Highly unlikely he comes up to Scotland (Huns would be a backward move without CL) unless he can’t get a PL club or a top team in one of the top 5 leagues.

 

He looks sensational. Sublime technique, faultless movement, two footed, confident and superb game intelligence and makes things happen in the final third.Would be the key to unlocking progress in the Champions League.
Get him signed before anybody else moves in.

 

I was scouting some of the South America leagues yesterday after we were linked with the Colombian winger from Argentina.

Came across a midfielder playing in Brazil now. Franco Cristaldi. * me, what a baller. Moved to Brazil from Huracan in Argentina. Came off a 16 goal, 10 assist season for them from midfield and got a £3.5m move to Brazil. Watched his highlight reel and he looked unreal. Unfortunately, he's probably out of our reach now and he seems to have started very well in Brazil.

Also, if we are looking to replace Abada, hope we have an eye on Ernest Nuamah from Nordsjaelland, in Denmark. Only 19 but been a good breakthrough year for him. Really seems to have stepped up for them since they lost Schjelderup to Benfica. 10 goals and 4 assists this season. Also another winger over there playing for Copenhagen. Mohammed Daramy. 8 goals and 4 assists this year. Only 21. Looks really good.

 

There were also a few boys from the second division in France who have come off excellent seasons.

Georges Mikautadze, 22 year old Georgian playing for Metz. 22 goals and 9 assists in Ligue 2 this year. Can play anywhere across the front 3. He looks insane. Not sure how much he will end up going for but if we were looking for the sort of player who can play on the wings/up front well, he would be an incredible addition. Metz are sitting 3rd in Ligue 2 at the minute, 3 points behind Bordeaux in 2nd with 4 games to play. If Metz fail to get promoted, he could be available for a cut price fee. He's currently valued at £6m on Transfermarket. He does have a contract until 2026.

Staying in Ligue 2 and with Bordeaux, he's been mentioned before but Josh Maja. 16 goals and 6 assists in Ligue 2 this year. Not had a great time of it since he left Sunderland a few years ago but has managed to really kick on this year with Bordeaux. His contract is up in the summer and he will be available for nothing. Seems to have been around for ages but he is only 24. He's an out and out striker though and with Kyogo and Oh, it seems unlikely that we would bring in another striker who will definitely be in demand, given his current deal expires in 6 weeks time.

 

Roman perraud , remembered we were linked before when he was at Brest , with Southampton relegated I think we could get him for a decent fee and I think he would a be signing

 

Axel Tuanzebe a centre half with champions league experience, leaving Manchester United on a free this summer. In a similar mould to CCV, wouldn’t rule it out him being on the radar.
