Jota is fine on right....but annoyingly he's just on another level down the left.

Not a knee * but after the explosive start to his season he's been pretty underwhelming overall.

Shocking from him today. I know he got the goal but some of his passing was abysmal. His dribbling and crossing was off as well.

With the quality he has, he needs to step it up and find more consistency.

Thought that first half was his worst since he's been here by far..

He had a stinker today but did get us back into it, his reaction shows he knew he was toiling as well!

He's not hit the heights he's capable of, but he's had an excellent season. Will comfortably end up in double figures for both goals and assists. Goals against the huns and in Europe.

First half today he was absolutely rotten right enough :giggle1:

Might be time to see a bit of him on the left and bring Abada back into the side. Incredibly harsh on Maeda but someone has to hit the bench

Aye I'd go with this, even though Maeda has been very good recently. He'll still have a good part to play though.

Think with how much energy it takes, I'd give Maeda a wee rest and have Abada and Jota on their favoured positions.

Wel off it yesterday and he is becoming annoying with his show pony stunts, Abada was more direct when he came on.
But saying that, I just dont like Jota on the right, he looks far more confident on the left.

Doesn’t help that he’s played out of position on the right.

It was good to see him moved over to the left in the second half, after it becoming clear St Mirren had no desire to attack.

Hes not a right winger. Its just a pity him, Maeda and Haksa are better suited to the left and cutting in. At least Maeda can use his pace on the right. But he's the player on form so is first pic.

Felt his frustration yesterday, he knew he was playing * but kept on plugging away. His goal was sheer desire to win, that's the difference in a good player and a poor one.

Dunno why you'd ever call for him to be taken off in a scenario like yesterday.

Yes it wasn't coming off for him first half but he's our most creative force and can produce something out of nothing. And one thing you can never accuse him of is lack of effort, time and time again he kept going back at them.

For the vast majority of games I wouldn't sacrifice his quality on the left for Maeda, personally. I'd like us to go back to Jota and Abada for a spell.

    Love him.

I'm pleased he got his goal because he was having a shocker. He showed great determination. Banjo boy on the other side of the city would've just walked about with his faux Eminem scowl then listened to heavy metal tunes on the way home.

A minor criticism of Jota is he maybe need to knuckle down a bit more. I think he's a cracking player but he's no where near his full potential yet. These are still formative years for him and he needs to make sure he's improving.

Think it's been harsh on Abada how much he's been on the bench lately.

Jota impacts the game with his quality, even when he isnt on top of his game.
When he is fit, he should play. Its as simple as that. The scary thing is, i think he has even more to give.
