He’s priceless to have in the team. Honestly, the only player I can think of with the same level of workrate is * Kante.

It’s * insane just how much he does on the pitch.

I thought he was * terrible going forward, and even during the game I didn’t * care because just how much he was doing everything else.

He struggled going forward against penking but what a shift he put in-constantly tacking back, getting in nibbles/blocks.

Valverde from Real Madrid is mental as well especially as he's quite a big solid build compared to Maeda and Kante who are more slim and light.

Aye that’s a good one as well, what a player he is.

Honestly though, see watching Maeda live, it’s a sight to see man isn’t it? A get knackered just paying attention to him

He's our most prolific wide player, this is our wide players stats under Ange

Maeda 17 goals from 77 shots (4.5 shots per goal)

Forrest 9 goals from 62 shots (6.9 shots per goal)
Jota 22 goals from 164 shots (7.5 shots per goal)
Haksabanovic 3 goals from 25 shots (8.3 shots per goal)

All our wide players have good stats really, especially when compared to Ryan "Row Z" Kent

Kent 6 goals from 147 shots (24.5 shots per goal)
Sakala 16 goals from 152 shots (9.5 shots per goal)
Wright 6 goals from 46 shots (7.7 shots per goal)

    Hahaha those stats.

To think Kent's shots to goals stats would are healthier now since Beale has got a tune out of him...

They're in a lose lose situation with Kent. They'll never be in a position to replace him with any money.

He is one of their better players and they'd struggle to attract any better. He will want massive wages to stay though.

He's never going for a fee. Ever.

Genuinely don't know if I want him to stay or go.

Wouldn't get on our bench. Or our bench's bench.

I'd rather he went. Losing him and fatty for free would be hilarious as they're two of their best players..

Doesn't say much for their squad but Kent is a danger, quick and gets them up the park, can go either way. Just a shitebag who can't finish..

They wouldn't be able to get better than those two for what it would cost i don't think..

Celtic star Daizen Maeda not interested in Southampton transfer

Daizen Maeda has insisted he has no interest in moving to Southampton because he's happy with life at Celtic.

The Japanese forward has enjoyed an excellent season for Celtic and impressed during the World Cup where he scored a goal for his country in the Round of 16 game against Croatia, before they eventually exited on penalties.

He was linked with a move to the struggling Saints who have sent scouts to monitor his form ahead of a possible bid in the summer.

However, Maeda, 25, is only concentrating on playing for the Hoops because he reckons that's his best hope of playing in another World Cup in North America in three years' time.

"That is my only priority. Personally, I would like to achieve double-digit goals and assists.

"Until this season, I had almost no assists even though I scored a few goals.

"This season, my assists have increased and I would like to think that's been linked to our results.

"If I want to be a part of the next World Cup in the USA, then there are still many things here at Celtic that I need to do."

And Meada, in an interview in his homeland, admitted this season has been a dream for him after stressing how contented he is with life in Glasgow.

He said: "The enthusiasm of the local fans in Scotland reminds me of my days at Matsumoto Yamaga.

"But back then in 2016 when I was in the Japanese second division, I never ever thought I would see the day that I played and scored at a World Cup.

"It changed everything for me. In fact, after the Finals, when I returned home to Japan, people started noticing me all the time so I disguised myself a little! But inside, I've not changed at all"
