    It's all ifs and buts.

But I'd be very surprised if he left after 3 seasons. I think we will get 4-5 out of him.

One thing that concerns me is he is approaching his 60s and although that doesn't mean retirement anytime soon, he's a bit further down the line and may want to try some more new experiences sooner rather than later.

But then he's also very much a family.man and they seem very at home here. And I genuinely believe him when he talks about us as a club and our stature, he knows how big a club he's at.

Enjoy him while he’s here instead of worrying about when he’s leaving.

He’s done or said nothing to suggest that he has his eye on a new opportunity or challenge.

Very much to the contrary, he’s spoken on multiple occasions about building a champions league team which takes time.

He is fully immersed in the Celtic project.

IMO he is here for 5 years anyway and he will play a part in his successors appointment when the time comes.

I genuinely believe he wants to be remembered as a legend at a big European club for his achievements. Moving to a Brentford or Brighton never qualifies as a big European club, they have nothing on Celtic when it comes to history and tradition. Also moving every 2-3 years will never get you to legend status.

I truly think Ange will be here 5-10 years so he can have a legacy, have his own story and history at one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The only way he leaves this club is to go to a bigger club (probably only a handful of clubs qualify) in a bigger league or he’s done his time (5-10 years) and he goes for a final hurrah in the Premier League (at any club).

He,ll go when the rite deal comes along regardless of whats happening with us,all this talk of wanting to stay to become a legend or any talk like that is silly.

Like the players hes a professional and wants to operate/test himself at the highest level and unfortunately our league is not that place.Id love him to stay for a long time to come but i believe he will go when the rite deal comes along when ever that is.

Lol, my talk was criticised as being more than silly when I said Ange was the man for Celtic.
Also criticised when I said Mooy was Celtic quality. When will you guys learn? :giggle1:

Ange is in this for job satisfaction and being able to be in charge of a project. He appreciates being at Celtic and that they chose him. He believes in his abilities and he has proven he is the right man for the job.

He is not in this for a fatter pay deal, money considerations do not dominate his football philosophy and he has a real connection with the fans and the culture because it is similar to his experiences as a player and manager with South Melbourne Hellas FC.

Can I take a guess at the headlines?

“Ange signs a South Korean after signing 5 Japanese players, is this a sign he is running out of ideas or the board are no longer backing his Japanese project?”

Need to tie him down to a long term contract. Surely, a 3 year deal would go a long way to showing both parties are committed to the project.

He'll likely win more Scottish trophies. Nothing to prove.

He knows Celtic gives them that chance year after year. That isn't enough. He actually wants to make a mark in Europe. Hopefully the club has the same ambition. And it should. This is Celtic after all.

I like the way Ange goes about things, all the best managers have a ruthless streak, you need it to maintain success.

Money changes everything. If a club offers him 2x or 3x his wages now plus a lot ng contract, he's gone. All of us would do the same. He's a family to look after and 3x contract for 3-5 years will sway anyone.

Nah, I don’t believe money changes everything. If that was the case then everyone in the world would be corrupt. It’s simply not the case.

You’ve got to remember in life that money can’t buy everything. Life is about experiences, and what’s valuable to you is not always valuable to the next person. You can’t take money with you.

Stuff like that is to be expected with any manager though but yeah the kyogo one was a bad call. Nearly everything else I can recall been spot on and to think I was raging when we missed out on Howe :ange:
