[Cross Platform] The Witcher 3 (opinions)

Not really convinced by CDPR as a company anymore, I think they are past their prime. New Witcher game was announced to be a remake of the first.

As someone who actually played TW in 2007 and the Enhanced Edition in 2008 (it remains my favorite of the trilogy by far). There is no way they are going to be able to capture the atmosphere of the first game. Chapter I, IV and even II to an extent all had a certain vibe only the Aurora engine could pull off, not to mention amazing sound design.

I'm also tired of every company pulling the remake card. Then there are the other issues I have with ESG. I think it is time for me to move on.

 

thats the ting right,
when tw1 released, it was one * of a game (i played the enhanced edition)
it still a fine game to me, but the mpre younger generation who never experienced the game, used to modern mechanic and graphic, the game is unbearable.
its not the kind of mario games, whos still plays great today and have the same mechanic since the old time

The one thing I hope they add in the update is an ability to upgrade armour like in Assassin's Creed. Annoying getting a full set of Witcher gear and then a few levels later it's redundant.

 

Completed the next gen version on PS5, only ever made it to Skellig way back when it first came out, this new version looks like the original reveal photos, its a shame the next one is going Unreal 5 as i really liked the Red Engine, remember being blown away with The Witcher 2 graphics on 360.

 

Only briefly touched the expansion packs, will leave it a year before a go back to it, as the main campaign has me burnt out at about 40 hours.

Yeah its deffo in my top 10 of all time.

 

Behind both RDR games, this was the next best game I've ever played and I knew bo diddly squat on the series.
