    Defo. Definitely doesn't always work hard the way he described. Was just the other week he just stopped running in the huff because he didn't get a ball played to him.

    They might be better just stopping the clock though then everybody knows where they stand. The 90 minutes don’t really mean anything now.

    Didn't they suggest having the match last an hour and use a stop clock? I think this could be them working out how long matches really should be and soon stop clocks will be used.

    i get the feeling the yanks have messed with the way the game is being run

    they sent the fbi in a few years back didnt they ?

    back in the 90s the americans were wanting the game segmented into quarters for advert breaks like their own sports on tv, i think this VAR which was resisted for years from the old fifa because it gave tv a say in the actual running of the game has now been granted and now the tv will want breaks in the game going forward to introduce more advertising revenue in the form of advertising breaks where they can sell spots to corporations.

    at this point im just theorizing but i think its a good possibility this is the way the game will go the way american sports have went
