Alexandro Bernabei

Was poor yes but he has shown enough in other games that there's a player there, just a matter of time.

 

Bernabei is still learning his craft, he's young, and we need to give him more time to adjust.

I like Bernabei, he 's got fire in his belly. He had two brilliant assists in his last two games.

There is always the possibility too, that maybe he could also adapt to another position in the team.

 

Ange kept him on too long when he was struggling hopefully learns from it

 

Good call from Ange to take him off. Performance wise he was ok, but just had that unsettling feeling the ref was going to give him a 2nd yellow for * all.

 

An absolute joke that he received a yellow card for the ball hitting the back of his arm like that. What the * was he supposed to do about it?

 

Think we were also missing Taylor at times for his rotation into the middle and linking play, he said he was frustrated with our play in the first half. Not that Bernabei was poor, but Taylor has become key to our system without Calmac.

 

Nothing jocular about it.

Downright sinister is what it was, and will continue to be. Wasn't even a penalty nevermind a booking.

 

Great game today. First half in particular he was easily our best player.

 

Delighted he started and lasted most of the game, loved that run he made.
Aside, met some of his family in Madrid last week, he flew them over from Argentina for the game, lovely people.

 

The boy has real pace! When he went on that run, a part of me just wanted him to go for it right to the end...

But good performance and got applauded off the pitch!

 

He needs to be encouraged to have a pop, get a shot off. Looks as if he is reluctant right now.

 

That'll come when he settles in more....game time wise..

He dragged one on the weekend but you can see he's got it in his locker..

I honestly think he's gonna be class for us. Some real signs..

Bit raw a touch just now defensively and the odd slack first touch but he's shown he's clever, aggressive attacking and defensively, positive, good at getting out of tight spaces, good runner on and off the ball, can cross..

This break to Australia will do the likes of him the world of good. Probably play both games, get a lot of work in to him and integrating with the squad more away..

 

The main attribute that I like about Bernabei is that ability to drive from deep, he has the ability of on the ball and the pace to get us up the park quickly like he showed against Ross County. He has elements of his game to tidy up but I am confident the second half of the year and next season we will see a more complete player.

 

He's class - think he'll have a big second half of the season and properly kick on the one after.

 

I think he's a terrific player.

He seems like one of those guys who will be a great trainer and will want to keep improving. He's definitely playing under the perfect manager for that.

One of my mates in Mexico follows the Argentinian league and text me right away when the news broke that we were signing him, basically said he's a very good player.

So far so good. His arrival has brought Greg Taylor on even further as well.

 

Defensively really poor from the bit's I saw earlier..

I know it's a friendly but he does need to brush up there. They could've had about 3 down his side first half alone..

 

There's flashes there of a brilliant player there, but he switches off too often and gives up possession very easily at times.

 

I don't care what G40B or anyone else says, but everytime I watch this boy he's mince defensively. Yes he can be ok going forward, although gives the ball away too much, but for me Taylor is levels above him at the moment.

 

Ideal now to start him in these next few games, reckon theres a player there but needs to gain some confidence, then the composure will come. A way to go for him yet.
