Tbh he's been playing well for the most part in a role that isn't really his natural game but I will say he really needs to brush up on his shooting. Had to be burrying that shot he had all the time in the world to pick a spot but he snatched at it.

He's a very good player but he needs to start scoring some goals from MF, still 0 goals in the league this season, he's better than that, was chipping in with goals at MK Dons, needs to start doing that here

Think he played well, his touch is great. Could do with being a bit more mobile and faster, but I'm sitting here with my second bottle of wine saying that. Think he was good today.

Pish, good couple of corners near end, that and a tackle before the 1st was his whack.

Whoever was going on about him and Rogic should be * embarrassed, Rogic has more power in his headers than Oriley has in his foot. Wish he'd try and stick his laces through it as that side foot is fkn embarrassingly weak for a professional footballer.

Need him up the park, actually would prefer abilgaard taking his place for a bit.

    Pish.

If we get an 8 figure offer for him then bite the hand off whoever presents it.

Great speculative ball over the top for the fourth.

Not as concerned about his overall play as some, however my ma is 71 and I am pretty sure could hit a harder shot than he does :fear:

He’s doing well in that deeper role. Couldn’t score in a brothel with a hundred quid strapped to his * though.

Not a natural DMF, just like McGregor isn't. I'd rather see Mooy at DMF than O'Riley.

I remember him saying Fulham wanted him to be a defensive midfielder but he didn’t want to

I suppose he doesn't fancy being the Pirlo type? Even if he has to be there on Ange's orders, the set-up must be right- we need a ball-winner in Europe.

I rate this boy highly and he's been top drawer for us..

Recently I've been giving him it tight and I seem to be seeing a different player to a lot of others. I feel like he's been proper off it but posters on here and some pods are making me question what I'm NO seeing..

Feel like he's no been as influential but i take in to account he's been deployed in the 6. Feel like his passing has been more ropey. His finishing has been poor..

I dunno if I'm no appreciating him because he's no further forward and lighting it up like he was for much of last season when he came in from January..

I agree he's not been on it but there are a few extenuating circumstances.

Him playing in the 6, like you say, which is obviously not his natural position. Biggest issue though I think has just been fan expectation. I and many others were expecting a POTY style season from him and truth is he's just not kicked on. He's probably regressed slightly performance-wise or at best stayed the same. That's been disappointing and I think has led some of us to probably be a bit over critical.

Boy has infinite potential and truth is he's not been living up to it so far. I'm hoping for a big second half of the season when Cal comes back from injury.

Aye that's pretty much how I see it Paddy..

Then listened to a pod and he came first in pressing, counter pressing, touches, second in chances created and almost had 2 assists (his ball for Kyogo although Tony flicked it on), plus made the challenge that led to our first :56:

    Is it us? :giggle1:

I expect him to look massively improved once he's moved forward to that right sided 8 again, deffo..

Hasn't made the provisional world cup squad. Didn't think he would tbh, Denmark are a strong side and he didn't make a good enough account of himself in the UCL to force his way into contention. Not ready yet, sure we will see him in the next Euros though.
