It isn't completely about the finances in my opinion....it's about trying to level up and gain an advantage..

Anyway...Good there's fuckall really in it..

I'd say world cup fitness is playing a part here.

Jenz, Welsh and Starfelt all in the squad for the Madrid game but CCV nowhere to be seen :fear:

they don't cost a fortune, I've watched my local team play in the 7th, 8th and 9th tier and they use grass and always have done. This semi pro team a couple of years ago had a new pitch fitted with quality draining and they never get games called off anymore. It cost £75,000. If a semi-pro team, who at the time were in the 8th tier could fit a new one then a top flight team in Scotland can.

    A mad vision:

I'd love to see him trying 20-30 yards shots on goal.
He gets into the right position very often and very comfortably, I often feel he should try, especilly when facing tightly packed box and not much use of making yet another side pass.

I'm not too sure what his abilities are in this department though.

I’d offer him 40k a week to keep him aslong as possible

I think if anyone comes in for him, it will be a massive bid needed to tempt us to sell. Vice Captain, less than a year into a 5 year deal. Heading to the World Cup with a decent U.S team where you would think he will have a chance at playing. £20m minimum before we even come to the table. We invested a large sum on him, and I would imagine that Spurs have some sort of percentage of profit in there somewhere. Needs to be worth our while selling. Anything less than £20m is a no go for me.

    Thanks for reminding of that
I think he could be trying more often.

and a rare double from Ajeti in that game:

I'm inclined to not to see him as a profit making asset but a future captain and legend in a making.
I can only hope he's happy here at Celtic and in Glasgow.

He's been absolutely massive for us.
Top class full back and a great character.

I reckon he’s worth £25m minimum, we have been poor at recruiting decent CB’s so I’d imagine we would struggle to replace him

He did say that one of the reasons he was keen to sign permanent was that afrer being bounced about on loan deals by Spurs that he wanted to settle at one club for a few years. Money could talk to change his mind of course, but I don't see him as someone who will be shopping himself around or looking for a move anytime soon.

If given the chance I think he would go to the EPL, to prove people wrong if nothing else. Maybe summer 2024 would be about right for him to go.

Personally think that’s a bit much for a loan fee.

He could well be, and to be honest as good as I think he is I don't see a massive club taking him. I'm sure he could earn more elsewhere but he's at a point where he needs to be playing regularly and looking good if he wants in the USA starting line up.
