I dont know what GG has to do to get a run in the team as starter, I thought he would have been a better choice against the Livingston CBs. Forest in for Abada because he can adapt and play better on the plastic I guess, only 3 points will do, dont give the Huns any hope. COYBIG

Difficult game on that surface I would take any win

 

GG looked like he took a knock the other night. Probably don't want to risk him starting today.

 

I'm not convinced that starting with Kyogo and Mooy is the best choice for a game like this, but we'll see soon enough. Hopefully Ange shows he knows more than me when it comes to team selections against that * wee anti football team on their * fake pitch.

 

Maeda didn't start midweek v Shakhtar either. He started v Hearts and Leipzig, but not against Hibs or the Motherwell LC game or the St J game. In fact, hasn't started back to back games since the away Leipzig game.

 

Big game, expecting a dogged turgid match.

GG would have been my first name on the teamsheet and Mooy would have been the last.

Difficult game on that surface, this opposition, this referee. Statistically, Away v Livi is our toughest fixture in the entire league - and that includes away at Ipox - with just 1 win at Almondvale since they returned to the Premiership in 2018.

That win was on the llast visit back in March, so hopefully can get another one today...but even that is a tough ask, by the way, as we have never won back to back games, home or away, one season to the next etc, again since the return to the Premiership. The last time won back to back games v Livi, WGS was the manager.

Oh, and we have never won in any of the 3 games where Collum has been the ref of a Celtic v Livi game, with 2 draws and 1 loss. One of the draws and the loss had Ryan Christie and Scott Brown sent off, and the other draw in between Livi were winning until stoppage time at the end of the game, when Eddy and Rogic combined to * a point, so we were only moments from losing that game also.

All in all, a very tough fixture. Any win will be brilliant!

But we gotta believe we can do ths. We did it in March, we can do it again today.

Meaning they will hack us and we'll get nothing from the officials, compared to we even blink in their direction and its deemed serious foul play.

 

Hopefully an early goal to settle the nerves.

Livi have conceded just 1 1st half goal in the league this seaosn - a 43rd min pen away @ Aberdeen, and conceded just 4 goals in total at home (all second half).

 

I also would like to see more of Abilgaard, but if he's the only CB cover we have, then it's 100% right that he's on the bench
