Jota to open the scoring inside the first 25 mins, cutting into the box from the left and unleashing a worldie.

Game to slip away from the current side gradually, with Commons taking advantage of the slightly disjointed press to equalise with a shot from nothing at the edge of the box, just on the stroke of half-time.

Both teams come out in the second half with their tails up, but when the game eventually does settle, Lenny has got his side relatively packed in, looking to counter.

They ultimately surrender too much possession, despite Ange’s side tiring. In the 80-somethingth minute Abada at the back stick gets on the end and of a Hollywood through-ball from Haksa, and blasts high into the net from an impressively jaunty angle.

    FT: 2-1 to Ange

Never mind them Lenny and Ange's teams...O'Neill's team would've beaten them no problem.

Current team struggles to score against a lot weaker defences than that Lennon team. The current team probably creates at least double the chances and loses 2-0

No. Players are playing 60 70 or even more games a season these days
Another meaningless game is of no benefit to them or their clubs

    Lennon’s team is better.

I think his last season has seriously dampened his reputation, and probably rightly so, but he did a lot of very good things as manager of Celtic. Mainly in his first spell though.

Ange is obviously a better manager but that Lennon team is superb.

Hooper was a great striker for us aswell

Interesting looking at some of the match ups

Lustig v Jota: reckon Jota gets the better of him but his deliveries need to be excellent to unlock that central defense.

Kyogo v Lenny's central defense: he will need to show that excellent movement to get any joy, will be a tough 90 minutes.

GG v VVD: talk about King Kong Versus Godzilla. VBD has too much class in the end

Abada V Izzy: Tough night for Abada but you can see Ange's side exploiting the fact that Izzy likes to push up the pitch.

McGregor v Brown: too hard to call

Hatate v Wanyama: Wanyama bosses it

Forrest v Taylor: this is too difficult, but Forrest with his pace back in the day probably wins it

Commons v Juranovic: reckon JJ gets the better of him with his superior fitness

Hooper v CCV: difficult night for Hooper but our defense as a whole will leak chances to the opposition and if Hooper gets on the end of one he won't need another

Hooper would be paired with Stokes, and I'd say that breaks CCV and Starfelt. 2 strikers in most cases are better than one. Stokes&Hooper was a deadly duo.
