He played well I thought in terms of getting on the ball and his use of the ball, held it well, passed well but should have hit the shot better, didn't mind him hitting it low though as sometimes you hit it low and it goes in and you * it and a keeper stands up just one of those things but should have got a bit more power in it.

I feel for the wee man. Could see he was gutted when he was subbed off. He's doing everything right up until his finishing which is letting him down big time in Europe.

done a lot of good work supporting GG tonight, chasing balls and causing them to make mistakes which was lost as soon as he was subbed.
but all he will be remembered for tonight is that disgraceful miss when he was one on one with the keeper.

Thought he had the right idea going for the nutmeg, just needed more power. Keeper did well to save it with his * tbf.

He was actually good aside from that pretty bad miss.

Feel like Kyogo and GG could complement each other if given time to build an understanding with each other.

If our attack is missing anything, it's missing the sort of cohesion you get from a good striking partnership- VoH and Skippy, Hooper and Stokes.

It can feel like many of our goals are carved out by a player's individual style - Abada's movement, GG's poaching, Kyogo's individual brilliance when he's on it. Yes the chances are usually carved out by teamwork but 2 strikers helping each other creates the kind of chances that you just can't miss ... Unless you're that young lad who missed Shaktar's sitter ofc

A thought he played well, it was a fairly bad miss but everyone raving about how world class mudryk is and rightly so but he had more or less the exact same miss in the first half that kyogo had

Thought Kyogos was easier, he had a wee bit more time.. its not just that miss in fairness, its a combination of misses all season.. if we are playing one up front there is only one choice at the moment..GG

Could have waited a split second to allow himself a right-footed shot. But Mudryk didn’t score from a somewhat similar chance, so…:39:

I think at times he showed he could play that position but he seemed out of sorts for most of the game, probably lacking a bit of confidence as he has missed a few at this level. On the upside I don't think he will be on the move this summer based on the CL performances

He didn’t do himself justice in terms of finishing at all in this campaign.

Actually thought he was playing well last night and looked dangerous, think Ange was * off with him missing yet another chance so just whipped him as a result.

Hes a hatrick away from being unplayable. That run was outstanding. If only his finishing was as good as his runs. He'd score 50. Start big GG every game and he may just do that.

If he takes half the opportunities created for him, he'd be unreal.

Just hasn't hit the ground running like last season. Only thing missing from his game is goals.

I think the issue we have with playing the two of them is the make up of the rest of the midfield, both O’Riley and Hatate would rather go forward where as we would probably need a McGregor and more of a high energy ball
winner playing a bit deeper. You also can’t play someone like Abada who offers so little if he isn’t scoring. It actually would suit a Maeda where you have a work horse to help make up for the lack of a third conventional CM.

I know he was a left midfielder earlier in his career and that is evident in his finishing. Ange really needs to get him working on his finishing , with his movement he should be hitting 30 goals a season but has so many missed chances. Giakoumakis should be the main man

Aye - was going to post something similar. Mudryk had a few honking moments that would have seen him castigated if he was a Tim, but overall his brilliance won them the tie. Fine margins...

It's easy to forget that because we've played him almost exclusively as a CF and he really hit the ground running when he arrived, but looking at his stats on transfermarkt he played almost all his games on the left for his first club Gifu, and about 50/50 for Kobe before he came to us. He's only really become a striker proper in the last couple of years, which just seems mad knowing what he can play like up top when he's on it.

yeah I get that but the more he played there the better his finishing would become you would hope but he seems to be getting worse lol

I agree he should be doing better but he's not the only one, although we have a pretty healthy goal difference domestically our finishing has been so wasteful all across the front line, got to wonder if something changed in training this season.
